License tagging for Image:Heartland trophy.jpg[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Heartland trophy.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

WikiProject Big Ten newsletter, February 2007[edit]
Hello all Big Ten Wikipedians, here's the manual newsletter (becuase I suck with templates :P) on February. As it says on the Wikiproject, this month's main article is the Big Ten Conference, primarily because that article needs so much help right now. Everything seems to be going well so far. I'd be helping more but I had other things I was doing. Glad to see a lot of members joining though. I'm thinking of starting an assessment division of our own, but I'm not sure yet. Give me your opinions on if we should start tagging people as well btw. If you guys wish to start tagging college presidents of them, that would be a good start. Badger Traditions[edit]
The "Shoot Him Like a Horse" is not enough of a 'tradition' to be mentioned in Wikipedia. Too few students even participate in the chant. I am guessing that you have never been to a Badger football home game before. There are HUNDREDS of traditons much more well-known and wide-spread than the one you suggest. There is the students' quite famous chant of "EAT SHIT, FUCK YOU", the "Jump Around" song at the end of the third quarter, the Wave pattern, the student's "We Want More Beer" chant, among many others. I have been to many Badger games, and I have never even heard "Shoot Hime Like A Horse," though I am not denying that it exists. Well, you guessed wrong. I have, indeed, attended a Badger football game at Camp Randall, and I can tell you that that particular chant is not only well-known amongst Madison and beyond, but it has made a strong impact in the psyche of viewing Badger fans. - Hello there you three . . . sorry to jump in on this! I have been to a number of Badger games as well, and I agree that this definitely does occur (the "shoot him . . ." chant). But I agree with Lordmontu that as a tradition it is less noteworthy than many others. As he says, there are many traditions that are more common, more well known, and more worry of mention. For that reason, I think either more noteworthy traditions need to be included or I am inclined to remove the "shoot him . . ." chant again. Personally, I don't think any of these chants or traditions are truly notable; I don't think they should be included in the article at all. For that reason, I am inclined to ask for an explanation/reasoning for including the chant. That is to say, what purpose does it serve? For example, you (Stusutcliffe) assert that the chant has "made a strong impact in the psyche of viewing Badger fans". Is this personal opinion or based on outside sources? If so, perhaps we such information should be included. Sorry to put the burden of proof on you! I hope that's alright. I am sure that you know as well as I that making Wikipedia better takes a lot of work, sweat, and tears (well, hopefully not tears . . .). I hope to hear from you soon! - In light of the fact that the chant statement was just removed again, can we discuss this before descending into an edit war? I know this is not fair to you Stusutcliffe since the article is in a state you dislike, but can we work this out without editing the article back and forth? I completely agree with you that SABR is the top dog among baseball statistics researchers, consequently I use Retrosheet whenever I can when creating or upgrading baseball articles. Please note, SABR produces Retrosheet, which many of the other premier baseball statistic organizations use to compile there stats, like Baseball-Reference. As far as Nap's batting average for the 1901 season, SABR recognizes it as .426, and so does MLB. What source you are using amounts to a statistical theory paper which compared different eras of baseball, and the stats involved are therefore not official.Neonblak talk - 22:38, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi. Just to clarify why I reverted your edit on the above page: all names contained in the page MUST be wikilinked. No blacklinks are allowed, while redlinks stay there until 30 days hence, after which they would be removed if still red. Bluelinks are valid irrespective of where they lead (such as in a redirect like Korver's) - it's a shame that someone thought it proper to direct him to his more famous sibling. BHS chapters[edit]
This is in response to your undo of my last edit to Barbershop Harmony Society. I got my numbers from the BHS chapter/chorus finder[1]. I selected each district and just counted how many chapters there were. It does list each chapter and each chorus, however, so you have to be a little careful about when to stop counting. I'm guessing the Society website might be more up to date than each individual district website. Plus it is one source instead of 17.
