Disambiguation link notification for November 25

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Maymay Entrata, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fantastica (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Recent CSD

Hi Subwaymuncher. I have just removed the CSD template you put on Prathi Poovankozhi, which you tagged as CSD A1 and A3. Neither of those CSD categories are appropriate in this case. A1 articles lacking sufficient context to identify the subject of the article. That does not apply here - although the article is short, it does state that it is an upcoming Malayalam film and lists the director and writer. A3 is for articles that have no content whatsoever, short of category tags, a rephrasing of the title, and so on. A3 explicitly says a very short article may be a valid stub if it has context, in which case it is not eligible for deletion under this criterion. I would also point out that you tagged this article a minute after it was created by a new user - tagging the article this quickly (even correctly) is not a nice way to treat new editors. Clearly the article needs some work but it does look like the editor who created it is still working on it. Why not give them some time to work on it before tagging it for deletion and come back later? If it still needs to improvements, perhaps you can give the editor some advice? WJ94 (talk) 14:44, 9 December 2019 (UTC)

  • WJ94 This is acknowledged. What would be the best course of action for these types of articles? I'm suggesting, since this is an article under construction found in the mainspace, maybe this can be worked on in a draft first?   Sub |HMU  14:57, 9 December 2019 (UTC)
Hi Subwaymuncher, thanks for your reply. The best course of action for these kinds of articles is to try and talk to the editor who created the article - you can see the note I left for their article creator on their talk page. I think your suggestion that this article be worked on as a draft is a good one - I suggested that to the editor who created this article and am currently waiting for a reply. If the editor does not reply soon (ie. withing the next couple of hours) then I will probably move the article to their userspace anyway - but I want to give them a chance to respond before I do that. Remember as well that Wikipedia is a work in progress - so long as there are no egregious issues with the page (vandalism, attack pages, BLP violations, copyvios, etc), then there is no harm in leaving it in the mainspace while a new editor is working out how Wikipedia works - especially if they get some gentle support from some more experienced editors at the same time. Even if this article turns out to not be notable and ends up userfied and doesn't make it back into the mainspace, the experience for the new editor is a positive one. Edits for updating page

Hi! Wanted to update some info on Tango (Software) page. Most of info is old. It's not messenger anymore, it's live streaming platform from 2017. And the CEO is different now. How can I edit it right? Thanks in advance https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tango_(software) — Preceding unsigned comment added by TangoMeCo (talkcontribs) 13:24, 13 December 2019 (UTC)

  • TangoMeCo, if you are affiliated with Tango, then that may be a conflict of interest. COI editing is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia. I would suggest checking WP:COI especially WP:COIEDIT.   Sub |HMU  13:55, 13 December 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for help, checked the guide. So would it be better to propose changes on talk pages with up to date information (I mean with facts and links about the company)? Will conflict of interest be avoided? — Preceding unsigned comment added by TangoMeCo (talkcontribs) 14:08, 13 December 2019 (UTC)

  • TangoMeCo, Yes that would be better, instead of editing the article directly only to be reverted by another user. Another is by posting a note on our Conflict of interest/Noticeboard so that they can be peer reviewed.   Sub |HMU  14:13, 13 December 2019 (UTC)

Got it, thank you for help! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.187.103.2 (talk) 07:21, 16 December 2019 (UTC)

kiernan shipka

you were so quick to point out my mistake why don’t u just do what i was trying to do and update the photo Keira1112 (talk) 19:36, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

Hello Keira1112, I appreciate your efforts in adding a new picture for Kiernan Shipka. The reason for the revert is because the picture is coming from an external link, which will not show on the article. If you wish to add/upload a new photo to a Wiki article, I suggest you visit WP:IMAGES. As far as I know, usually, you may only add/upload a new picture to a Wikipedia article if you own the rights to the image, or if that image has previously been released under a licence which allows for it to be re-used for commercial purposes. - SUBWAY 19:59, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

the photo is from 2014 which is very old now so needs updating and I won’t do it since my edits just get changed straight away Keira1112 (talk) 21:20, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

@Keira1112: just so you know, your edit was reverted as a good faith edit cause clearly you were just trying to add a photo to a much more updated one. Other users are strict on this and might revert this and warn you. If you do not want your edits being changed, I would suggest using the sandbox so you can continue to make test edits without being unintentionally disruptive. - SUBWAY 23:32, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

Tagging of User:Notty Mirza

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on User:Notty Mirza. I do not think that User:Notty Mirza fits any of the speedy deletion criteria  because While poorly formatted and redundant, this could be the start of a plausible draft of an article, so U5 does not apply. I request that you consider not re-tagging User:Notty Mirza for speedy deletion without discussing the matter on the appropriate talk page. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 09:55, 29 December 2019 (UTC)

Whoops. I was focused on the website which is kinda similar to his username so I thought it was self-promotion. This is noted, and I'll do better next time. Thank you DESiegel and Happy New Year! - SUBWAY 12:02, 29 December 2019 (UTC)

Invitation to RedWarn

Hello, Subwaymuncher! I noticed you have been using Twinkle and was wondering if you'd like to beta test my new tool, RedWarn, specifically designed to improve your editing experience.

  • Easy to use - Unlike other tools, RedWarn uses easy to interpret icons and simple summaries for common actions, reducing both learning and reading times.
  • Supports rollback and rollback-like functionality - Unlike Twinkle, RedWarn supports both rollback and rollback-like functionality for users will rollback permissions. This decreases waiting times during rollbacks.
  • Making life easier on the battlefield - Ever been in the middle of a vandalism war or campaign, frantically reloading the history page to see a new edit? No more! Enabling RedWarn's "Alert on Change" feature will automatically send you to the latest edit when a new edit occurs - and if you're working on something else, RedWarn will send you a notification while the tab is still open in the background. No time wasted.
  • Rollback previews - If you're ever worried about the changes a rollback will make, especially in the case of reverting good faith edits, you can click the rollback preview button to preview the difference a rollback will make, with the version that will be restored on the right, and the latest revision on the left.
  • Always the latest revision - RedWarn will automatically redirect you to the latest revision if the rollback is no longer for the latest revision - no more frustrating errors.
  • Fast - RedWarn can automatically select a warning level, and, on vandalism and content removal rollbacks, automatically select a warning template.
  • Built on your feedback - RedWarn is receiving frequent feature additions and changes based on your feedback. If there's something you don't like, or would like to see, just say!
  • and many more features ...but I don't want to fill your userpage.

RedWarn is currently in use by over 35 other Wikipedians, and feedback so far has been extremely positive. If you're interested, please see see the RedWarn tool page for more information on RedWarn's features which I haven't listed here. Otherwise, feel free to remove this message from your page. If you have any further questions, please ping me or leave a message on my talk page. Your feedback is much appreciated! Ed6767 talk! 21:59, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

August 2020

Hey. It appears you’ve removed my edit at Apollo Quiboloy. Mind explaining it to me why you removed it? To be honest, you’re making your edit quite biased by inadvertently siding with Quiboloy. I thought you wanted neutrality in articles? It’s not even neutral now. You’re omitting valuable information. You’re depriving the public of the real score they’re supposed to know. Isn’t that disruptive editing? RenzyBenzy (talk) 18:33, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

So I might reinstate some information back on the page. Would that be alright? You know, you don’t fully know who Quiboloy really is and you’re not a Filipino and a Davaoeño but you’re acting as if you’re one. Let us, Filipinos and Davaoeños, handle his article/page from now on, shall we? I believe we have equal privileges as Wikipedia editors. Now if you keep on usurping our privilege by unnecessarily reverting/removing our edits, what purpose shall we serve in this information platform? It’s not about the “disruptive” edits you might accuse us of again, but it’s our privilege to be able to contribute here. Good day, gentleman. RenzyBenzy (talk) 18:39, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

I’m sorry to say pero, buot-buot kaayo ka bai. Ayaw sige’g pataka’g hilabot sa mga ubang article na wala kay hibaw-an. Hawd-hawd kaayo ka’g dagway, mura’g kinsa dili ra ba. I suppose you should only edit articles that you honestly know you have experience on. You’re not a walking encyclopedia, right sir? I hope you understand my concern here. I feel offended, slighted, and devalued. I hope you loosen up a bit with your editing beliefs. Remember, it’s only a PRIVILEGE, not a RIGHT. RenzyBenzy (talk) 18:44, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

RenzyBenzy I already explained the reason for my edit on the edit summary. Also I am a Filipino, please check my userpage. - SUBWAY 00:16, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

Edit summary box

Please use it^, I cannot read your mind and neither can anyone else, Repeatedly reverting without explanation could see you blocked from the project, Thank you. –Davey2010Talk 19:51, 8 August 2020 (UTC)

Davey2010, I'm not sure where you are going with this. I did use the edit summary box saying "Typo" [(Undid revision 969972970 by Davey2010 (talk) Typo)] cause it is indeed a typo? Then you reverted it asking me to explain why. Then I explained it in details, then you reverted it again only to edit it back just to prove what? I just find it easier to click undo than to edit it out. Nevertheless, was it also really that hard to check prev? I believe I should really not explain myself to you. Calling me an "absolute tool" was low and I refuse to further engage with you regarding this matter. Have a good day. - SUBWAY 20:15, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
My sincere apologies, I had completely missed that hence my warning and edits thereafter, Unfortunately it's a common occurrence where someone reverts you and doesn't bother explaining why (although you did explain!),
Anyway it would seem I'm the complete and utter tool in this case so apologies for that. Happy editing. –Davey2010Talk 20:22, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
