Hello Sudhirbhargava, I appreciate your good efforts of expanding the page Samrat Hem Chandra Vikramaditya, but the citations which you have mentioned are from books which appear to have a glorifying and biased tone. This tone is fine for a biography but is unencyclopaedic and unsuitable for Wikipedia. Please read Neutral point of view/FAQ and also the Talk page of Samrat Hem Chandra Vikramaditya for contesting my POV arguments. Edits should be made only when a neutral point is agreed upon. I also made some grammar and punctuation corrections, I guess you should be ok with those. Please keep up the good work of adding useful info, but please also try to maintain Wiki standards. Wrongful deletion of content in Manusmrti[edit]

Dear user, you have deleted an entire section in the article with the comment "Wrong interpretations and without reference." Please note that the section that you deleted were essentially quotes from the Manusmriti itself. A link to Manusmriti in Sanskrit, accompanied by English translation, was attached as reference to each of the quotes contained in the section. You are requested to clarify what you mean by "Wrong interpretations and without reference." Next time you delete entire sections, you are requested to please note your reasons for doing so in detail in the Talk page. Sreejiraj (talk) 04:18, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Hem Chander Vikramaditya. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hem Chander Vikramaditya. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:15, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sudhir, I've reverted your edits to the article on Vedic period. Please don't add mythological dates and content to historical articles. Almost all historical sources agree that India was in Stone Age before 7th millenium BCE, whereas, Rig Veda is a text of the Chalcolithic Age. Adding "10,000 years ago" and "great floods" as the origin of Vedic period not only contradicts scholarly opinion, it makes Wikipedia look silly. I see you've interacted with Tito before. If need a second opinion on this, you can always ask him. Regards. Correct Knowledge«৳alk» 02:41, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ayurveda[edit]

Just to be clear, in our discussion at WP:RSN I didn't mean Kulbhushan Mishra was irrelevant. What I meant was that his paper Dancing Elements of Indian Rock Painting with Special Reference to Chhattisgarh in Journal of the Directorate of Culture & Archaeology was irrelevant to our discussion on Ayurveda since the paper is about Rock paintings. It however would be a reliable source for any discussion related to rock art. I'll refrain from commenting further at RSN. Let me make way for other uninvolved editors who are experienced at dealing with issues of reliability of sources. Regards. Correct Knowledge«৳alk» 12:16, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Discussions pertain to dating of Rigveda, Vedic Period as well as Ayurveda or Chyavanprash, which I claimed to be 10,000 years old on wiki pages, and have been claiming in different seminars on Saraswati or Vedic state of Brahmavarta. I-SERVE also ratifies that Vedic Period and Saraswati culture existed 10,000 years ago. Study by Mr. Misra analyses paintings which are older than 10,000 years. So they become important in dating of Indian Culture and other information.Sudhirkbhargava (talk) 12:32, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, he connects paintings to dating of Rig Veda in his I–SERVE presentation, but he doesn't appear to make that connection in an earlier paper on Indian Rock Painting in Chhatisgarh. That is why I called that paper irrelevant (for our purposes) but reliable. His I-SERVE paper is relevant but unreliable. That's my take, will wait for other editors. Hemu article problems[edit]

It seems that there has been a lot of slow edit-warring going on at Hemu, in which you have played a part. I have reverted the article to its state prior to that and I ask that you discuss the seemingly controversial aspects of it at Talk:Hemu. Batting the same content ball back and forth without any meaningful discussion is never going to achieve anything. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 22:35, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Purana Qila[edit]

Hi, thanks for improving the article. Is it indeed a fact that there was a fort at the site prior to the time of Humayun/Sher Shah Suri? Not challengoing your edit, just curious. Hemu's caste[edit]

A lot of thanks Sudhir ji for highlighting the character and life of Hemu, unsung hero of Indian history, on Wikipedia. As far as Hemu's caste is concerned, Brahmins and Vaishyas, both claim him their ancestor. When it comes to the fact, that Hemu was Vaishya, you can visit Wikipedia article "Gumnaam Vikramaditya", in which the writer of this book has cited several references to prove him Vaishya. Though, I know, you are trying to prove Hemu Brahmin and there may also be some references. It, after all, enhances the glory of Hemu. Mohangarg21 (talk) 04:54, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

I am finding it difficult to manage and retain in good form some more important pages, like HEMU, BHARGAVA, REWARI etc. which I created and contributed sufficiently. So no fun in creating another page which will be spoiled by editors later on. BRAHMAVARTA, was an important state in India 10,000 years ago, which was the place for launching Vedic Sanskriti and Sanatan Dharm as per Sanskrit Granths.Sudhirkbhargava (talk) 03:49, 6 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hemu And His Times[edit]

Do you have a copy of this book by ML Bhargava that you have referenced on Talk:Hemu? Sudhir, can you let us know if Nilotpalbera1990 (talk · contribs) is your account, or of someone you know? If so, could you revert the recent changes made by that account on Hemu pending the discussion on the talkpage, since such use of multiple accounts is frowned upon on wikipedia. (aside: I have read the ML Bhargava abstract and intend to post my views by Saturday once I have had the chance to look up a couple of other sources) Thanks. Abecedare (talk) 15:16, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sudhir, I have asked the Checkuser to run a check (you are welcome to comment there). I am sincerely hoping that you are not involved, in which case the CU should be able to confirm that, and we can proceed with the discussion after perhaps getting the Hemu page semi-protected to prevent further disruption from anon-editors and newly created accounts. Abecedare (talk) 20:46, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
FWIW, I am now convinced that Nilotpalbera1990 is not you and have said is in an update on the checkuser page. Hope this didn't cause you much aggravation. Abecedare (talk) 00:31, 6 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the ping on my talk page. The fact is that while I have read several sources on the subject by now, there are some standard works that I would like to see before forming a firm opinion. That's the reason for the delay. However, you are right that I shouldn't leave others hanging in the discussion, especially since I may be able to get hold of those reference works only by December. So I'll summarize what I have seen so far, and my tentative conclusions/suggestions this weekend on the Hemu talk page. I appreciate your and Sitush's patience!
