Huggle is NOT a license to bite users

Please Sue, consider either taking a break from using Huggle or using it with a bit more caution. You have now issued two warnings to this anon, who has not vandalized even once. Wikipedia is a big place with a lot that needs done - we absolutely cannot afford to chase constructive users away. --Bongwarrior (talk) 09:16, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

My most humble apologies. His edits indeed seem to be beneficial. Thanks for bringing this so politely to my attention. Huggle burps occasionally, and in addition to that I am a lowly human being, and make an occasional mistake once in a while. I have apoligized on his talk page.--Sue Rangell[citation needed] 20:09, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
Sorry to charge in, but, use of Huggle requires one to make mistakes less often, or, use Huggle much more slowly, or, just not use Huggle at all. Constantly repeating that you are human and sometimes make mistakes, does not change this.
Also, if you are the person using Huggle, you are responsible for the edits made - Huggle is not responsible for its "burping" when you are using it.
For what it's worth, I don't use Huggle at all - not because I can't, but because (also being human) I make quite enough mistakes as it is, and certainly don't want to make them more quickly. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 21:36, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for your kind and helpful remarks. I am well aware of my responsibilities and will try harder in the future. However, I am afraid that I will remain being human, and will make a mistake once in a while. I can't help it, I was born this way. I am simply not perfect, but I will continue trying to be. --Sue Rangell[citation needed] 21:42, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
Right, well could you at least arrange a link to your talk page in your signature then, please? If you're going to be bombarding schools, libraries, colleges, universities and government departments with templated warnings about their users' behaviour, you should at least provide them a very easy way to get back to you if you engage in any further discussion. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 01:33, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

Use of PROD

Hi there, please review the PROD process before tagging articles with this. In the case of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avaya_Government_Solutions you have not provided any rationale or concern for your nomination, as such I have removed the tag. If you wish to renominate this article please follow the conventional process as an objection has now been noted. Mrfrobinson (talk) 23:15, 8 December 2012 (UTC)

My prod (And the other three prods you removed) were all in good order. If you read the rules, you will see that no explanation is required. Your removal was therefore inappropriate. Additionally, you are a single issue editor, and suprise suprise, you are protecting the numerous Avaya spam pages. Very well, I will simply place them up as AfD's, and let the community decide. --Sue Rangell 19:38, 9 December 2012 (UTC)
Please review the PROD process, #1 on the nomination requires "a clear and non-generic reason". Please refrain from making claims about my motives as well. I am actually a long time Wikipedia editor that recently came back. Your use of prod is what alerted me to review some of your other PROD and deletion actions. Specifically Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Daniel_O'Brien_(comedian). You have entered into a edit war over a AfD. As a non-admin you can only close these after 7 days if everyone is in consenious. Since this did not occur I have reverted your edits as this is 1) against policy and 2) is a pseudo-edit war. Please do not revert my edit and allow for an admin to close this AfD. I have started a discussion about this as well Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Mrfrobinson (talk) 19:51, 9 December 2012 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) You are incorrect, Mrfrobinson. A NAC can occur before 7 days in obvious cases. If you dislike that, get consensus to change it. --Nouniquenames 22:28, 9 December 2012 (UTC)

Ways to improve Albia Community High School

Hi, I'm Kudpung. Sue Rangell, thanks for creating Albia Community High School!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. For more information regarding the essential elements and information that should be added to school articles, please see WP:WPSCH/AG.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Thank you! I have been going down some of the create page requests at Wikiproject Education. I will let them know as well. --Sue Rangell 01:02, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
I understand, but in my opinion, just responding to a page creation request by making an extremely short one-line stub doesn't quite do it. Experience shows that school articles are often neglected once created. I do a huge amount of completing and improving school articles, but only when I feel that the creator has already put a maximum of work into them. That said, school articles, especially ones in the USA, are pretty easy to complete with at least the basic elements such as stubs tags, infoboxes, cats, and the WP:WPSCH project template on the talk page. These things only take a few minutes. It also helps to include the country in the school's location - Wikipedia is read worldwide. 01:33, 14 December 2012 (UTC)Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk)
Sounds good then! Always happy to do a little more as long as I'm pointed in the right direction! :) --Sue Rangell 01:36, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
Thanks Sue, because I'm one of the few people around here who takes care of school articles and it otherwise just makes more work for me, and I can't do more to them than any other experienced editor could. Cheers. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:18, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
I think i have them into that "happy place". Let me know if you would like me to do any more. I was just picking randomly for something to do, but I am sure that some have more priority than others. If you would like me to do more, just drop me a list of redlinks, and I'll be happy to create them with all the bells and whistles. :) --Sue Rangell 21:23, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
There isn't a list of red links for schools, but there is a significant list at WP:WPSCH of school articles that are badly in need of improvement. The list is no longer complete because at some stage it became too much and I gave up maintaining it. There is gereally no harm in creating more school stubs on the lines I descibed above. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:12, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
Thank you, I'll do a mix of improving existing articles and creating new ones based on what seems to need the work. I'm about to create a bunch of historical articles too, because the people doing those weren't adding all of the extras, just as I used to do. I think a lot of people try to help by creating a stub, not really realizing how simple it is to add the infoboxes, cats, wikiproject templates and stub tags. --Sue Rangell 03:48, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

AfD

Hi Sue, I wanted to point out a specific policy that may help you contribute to AfD's. WP:Not notable recommends for editors to substantiate their discussion comments or arguments with more background to why they believe the article to be notable or not-notable. Often these arguments to avoid are not weighed as heavily as other more thorough comments/arguments. You are quite active and spend a fair amount of time on AfD so getting your voice heard more would be awesome. Anyway, meant this in no way as a criticism or comment on your work, simply thought it might help one AfDer to another. Mkdwtalk 22:22, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

Thank you, I appreciate it! --Sue Rangell 22:26, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
Swinging by and wanted to say your comments on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/John Duffy (mobster) were awesome. Mkdwtalk 21:26, 17 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi Sue - We often cross paths in deletion discussions, not always agreeing, but your premises always seem well founded in policy. I'd like your input here as you have much more experience than I. I took some biased rejected lawsuit commentary out of this article, and a seemingly respectable editor (the creator) put it all back in. I left them a note at User_talk:Dandv. I don't want an edit war.---MJH (talk) 04:27, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

  • I'm sure nobody wants an edit war, my experience is that if you respected this editor prior to this, you prolly still should. At least thats been my experience, I will take a look and see what this person's reasoning is. The printed word doesn't always translate well, and sometimes a new set of eyes is all that is needed. be well. --Sue Rangell 04:33, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

I don't understand the quickness of inserting the deletion template this fast when the article has been created for only an hour and I was still editing it. I don't know what is it about this shopping mall that isn't notable. True, it's not a big mall. But it's still notable enough to be the city's only enclosed mall and to have its own website. Honestly, I've seen smaller malls with no official website that have articles on Wikipedia. Farine (talk) 06:37, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

Removed speedy deletion tag

I have removed your speedy deletion tag from Marx as an Economist because A7 applies to a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content -- not to a book. —teb728 t c 06:47, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

Hmmmmmm. That is a pretty good point. Very well, we have had this problem with books before. I suppose I will just have to propose it the good old fashioned way.--Sue Rangell 19:11, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

Notability

Hi. You just applied AfD tags to two of Vietnam's most notable poets with 100s of print refs. In future when editing in an area such as classical Asian literature you might want to run a simple name search in Google Books before using such tags. Just a suggestion. Best regards. In ictu oculi (talk) 23:40, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

I am afraid that I did, and found nothing that was usable. If there is something there, it should be sourced in the article. A subject can have a lot of Google hits and still not be notable, and I believe that is the case here. --Sue Rangell 23:43, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

Đặng Trần Côn

I've removed the speedy deletion tag from Đặng Trần Côn. I don't see how "the author of the Chinh phụ ngâm a masterpiece of chữ Hán literature of Vietnam" doesn't count as a claim of importance/significance. If you still think it should be deleted, please nominate at articles for deletion. —Tom Morris (talk) 23:55, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

Thank you, it shall be done. Be well. --Sue Rangell 23:59, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Star Wars and Indiana Jones connection

Hello, I overhauled Star Wars and Indiana Jones connection by removing much of the trivia (for which I could not find reliable sources) and adding a "Shared themes" section. I think the article is in much better shape. While it is more sparse, I think there is a stronger case for having a stand-alone article as long as the standard is maintained. Please let me know at the AfD discussion what you think. Erik (talk | contribs) 15:42, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
