Thank you for your contribution[edit]

We need a lot of information on Wikipedia about Eastern Tamils. I have tried to prune the Batticaloa article and tried to show where you can cretae other articles. Such as

There is a lot to write about and we dont have to put it all in one article about a city. Welcome Thanks Taprobanus 14:22, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on History of Batticaloa, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --♪♫ ĽąĦĩŘǔ ♫♪ walkie-talkie 18:39, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dont give up[edit]

You are a newbie so you are making some mistakes but instead of helping you to create a good article other fellow Sri Lankans are only trying to delete or mess with your article, it is call the Crab effect. Don’t worry about it. Read the five pillars again and again. Then read WP:CITE specially the template about how to cite. It is so easy to write about the history of Batticlao when you get a copy of the history books about Batticaloa. Use those books, their page numbers etc to write this article. If you need any help do let me know. Thanks Taprobanus 19:55, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Primary sources are to be avoidesd when writing an article in Wikipedia. Please read WP:RS and WP:OR it will make your life much better. Thanks Taprobanus 17:11, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
