Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Machine Head. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. External links to interviews on band pages were listed to aid in research on those bands and/or people. Not for promotion. The links can also be used as sources. I see you deleted ALL my links to as you say "sites with which you are affiliated". So why not delete links to people's personal websites with photos? Or to other sites with interviews? If your edit is to make sense then edit ALL personal links. When I use Wikipedia to research bands I'll be interviewing, I find it extreemly useful to see what other interviewers have asked so I don't ask the same questions. I don't think you have understood. I have not said that other personal websites are appropriate either, I believe they are not, an external link must apply to Wikipedia standards, otherwise it's considered spam. You say that you find it useful for finding material, please find them someplace else, it's not hard to google "[whatever band you are searching for] interview" (please see WP:NOT#LINK). I delete a lot of spam pages, but I do not have the ability to delete them all at once as you may have thought out (also, Wikipedia has 2 million articles), and I can only delete some of excessive external links at a time. And, the way you added the links, in a large number in short time, is common for spammers (10, 20 or 50 sometimes), so I'm still not convinced that it was in good faith, I must say. If you think they should be listed as sources then I suggest you put in under ref tags in the article, not as external links. It should also be noted that you deleted other external links, and occasionally putting yours higher up than the other (offical) external links, also common for spamming.

And, I have to ask, if you are interviewing as you say, and you already know of the links you have added, why not keep them in a text file on your computer instead? They are not valid just because you say so. I'm not the only one who knows about Wikipedia's spam policy, and if you think your spamming (I think) can now be done unnoticed and without anyone deleting them, you're wrong. And if you can't have this argument, then would I take it as you don't have a good answer to the questions I asked you (confirming that it's really spam you're adding)? Thanks for uploading Image:MikeWengrenDrums2008.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:58, 1 December 2008 (UTC).
