AfD nomination of Rock and roll conservatory[edit]

I have nominated Rock and roll conservatory, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rock and roll conservatory. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Madcoverboy (talk) 16:39, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Strange occurrence[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Strange occurrence, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Your comments[edit]

I have reviewed your contributions and I suspect you are Joe Wiles, who is apparently involved in both Strange occurrence and Rock and roll conservatory. This is self promotion and it will not be tolerated on Wikipedia. I have marked Strange occurrence for speedy deletion and I will remark accordingly on the AFD discussion for Rock and roll conservatory. If you create more articles on topics directly related to yourself or the projects you've been involved in I will seek to have you blocked from editing. Thanks, Cumulus Clouds (talk) 23:48, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I can understand why you could have come to that conclusion, but it is an inaccurate assumption. You've clearly overstepped your administrative boundaries by acting on your mistaken assumptions instead of acting in good faith and asking me about my credentials. Instead of marking my page for a speedy deletion, there were much more positive steps you could've taken (read WP:DP Alternatives to Deletion). I have a friend who's son attends the Rock and Roll Conservatory and I'm not merely intrigued by the subject, but also feel it warrants inclusion into Wikipedia. I followed the career of Strange Occurrence and it's members for quite a number of years. Many of the details that I've provided (and intend to provide) in the articles are based on my first-hand knowledge, from casual interviews I've done with Eric Vickers, the bass player for Strange Occurrence, and from sources available around the internet. And you reverting an edit I made to Scott Hunter's article was not only spiteful, but showed your lack of good faith and bias against new users. Please refrain from acting on your assumptions in the future. "When acting as administrators, they are also expected to be fair, exercise good judgment...". You clearly have not. ~Cheers.Superhero77 (talk) 04:46, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Your only contributions on this encyclopedia have been to promote yourself and your business. If it would mean you would stop trying to use Wikipedia as an advertising vehicle, than yes I would prefer you not edit at all. Cumulus Clouds (talk) 18:57, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

July 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Scott Hunter has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks.
