A tag has been placed on Adoi Magazine requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — Timneu22 · talk 11:25, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Adoi Magazine, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

FYI conflict of interest guideline[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia in Adoi Magazine or other articles, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. – Athaenara 20:33, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Help[edit]

Hi there. You put {{helpme}} on Talk:Adoi, but you didn't ask a question or anything.

If you need help, please use {{helpme}} here, on your own user talk page, and ask the question below it. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  08:14, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Adoi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

NN magazine. No independent sources cited. Ghits are all self-references or social networks

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Alexf(talk) 11:03, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Help request[edit]

Please use {{helpme}} here, on your own user talk page; I've moved this over from Talk:Adoi.  Chzz  ►  18:18, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} I finally got the hang of this stuff, I have made the skeleton of this article, I will expand this article however I have 2 questions

1) I'm still not sure what other independent sources I can cite for this article, I read the independent sources but it still seems vague, any suggestions ?

2) I made an article called Adoi Magazine but it got deleted, I'm wondering if I can rename this article entitled 'Adoi' to 'Adoi Magazine' ?

When you leave messages, please remember to "sign" your name, by putting ~~~~ (four tilde signs) at the end. This will add your name, and the date and time. You can also do this by clicking the 'sign' button, pictured to the right.
1. Independent sources would be unconnected to the organization in any way; having no vested interest. Examples would be newspaper articles about the magazine, books mentioning it, or reporting on major news websites (CNN, BBC, etc) – but articles substantially about the magazine. See WP:VRS; please also refer to Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources and Wikipedia:No original research#Primary, secondary and tertiary sources. If such sources do not exist, then we should not have an article.
2. I see no compelling reason to change the name; the title of the magazine appears to be simply "Adoi" and we have no other article of that name, so no disambiguation is required. See WP:MOSTITLE.
Most important though is, If you have a conflict of interest, please do not edit the article yourself. See WP:BFAQ, WP:BESTCOI. If the magazine is notable, others will write about it.  Chzz  ►  18:18, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Adoi for deletion[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Adoi, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Adoi until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. JamesBWatson (talk) 09:40, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

November 2010[edit]

This is your last warning; the next time you create an inappropriate page, as you did at Adoi Magazine, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. As you are aware, this article has now been created six times (at least five of those times by you) without the issues which led to deletion being addressed. After the fifth time the article title was protected to prevent further re-creation, and you simply tried to get round the protection by creating under a different title (Adoi). It is not acceptable to keep creating an article which does not satisfy Wikipedia's inclusion criteria, nor is it acceptable to try to get round restrictions by such tricks as using a different title.
