Need Help[edit]

Hello Dbiel, this is Survir. I want to ask that my User:TALK Page is getting longer. Am I able to delete the old comments. If yes, how. Can you please help me cleaning up my user talk page. I will be thankful to you! Survir 07 October 2007. 10:07 (UTC)

Sorry I did not see this one earlier. I went ahead and create an archive for you to clean up this page. Dbiel (Talk) 05:36, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Maryada serial.jpg[edit]

The following is a simple summary of what is already posted on my talk page: As it stands right now, the image does not meet Wikipedia requirements for use in Wikipedia. If you want to take the time to get the required permissions, feel free to do so. The following is what is needed.

1) a statement from the source of the picture that they are willing to release it for use in Wikipedia and under what terms they are releasing it.

2) a statement as to where the other parts of the image actually came from and a statement from their sources that they are willing to release it for use in Wikipedia and under what terms they are releasing it.

3) A summary statement as to how the various parts came together. Note: you have already provided the necessary information for that and I am willing to draft that, but only after items 1 and 2 are addressed.

4) contact information for the following:

  • the sources of the various parts of the composite image
  • the individual you actually assembled the image together

Note: there is no problem with the way the image was put together, only with the sources of the parts used to make the final image. Each part used in the assembly has to be addressed with its own copyright issues. The more parts used and the more sources that they came from, the more difficult the process. Suggestion for getting an article deleted[edit]

I am certain that Durga Maa Telefilms doesn't exist. The show names are also made up as are the websites. You can take a look at Wikipedia:Deletion policy to figure out which category this page fits in best. In my opinion, you can propse the deletion of that article. Take a look at Wikipedia:Proposed deletion and add the tag mentioned there to the article. Hopefully, you won't face any opposition and the article would be deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Raj712 (talkcontribs) 15:33, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:SET logo.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SET logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 20:55, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Man Mein Hai Visshwas[edit]

Sorry for the late reply... I haven't been editing Wikipedia lately so I have not logged in for a while now. But anyway, I think Man Mein Hai Visshwas has been airing for over one or two years now. So if the show has just started airing in the place where you live, I think it's a rerun where you live because Man Mein Hai Visshwas has been TV for so many months now where I live. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Kggk2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kggk2.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 22:34, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merging[edit]

Hi. Thanks for working to correcting the spelling error at Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. Just for future reference, there are specific steps we have to follow in doing this in order to preserve authorship information for GFDL. You did the right thing by noting the merge in the edit summary, but a direct wikilink should be used, and the source article cannot be deleted. In such a case, we turn it into a redirect and include the special template {{R from merge}} so that other editors know it must be preserved. In this case, given the simplicity, I decided to go ahead and just combine the two articles into one location at the correct spelling by means of a history merge. This does require temporarily deleting one of the articles and so is something you have to get an administrator to do. Anyway, I do appreciate your taking the time and effort to address this, but thought I'd point out usual procedure in case you encounter such a situation again. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 03:47, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Image:BNMHoli.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:BNMHoli.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:BNMHoli.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Re: Thank you![edit]

The plot can certainly be updated as needed - this is a wiki, after all - but it should stay within the length of a paragraph or two according to WP:PLOT, focusing on the main premise of the series and not on minute details. In reality, I don't care too much what is in the plot summary, I just don't want to see it explode into a raging monster like it was previously. Speedy deletion of Babul Ki Duwayen Leti Jaa[edit]

This Tag does not apply anymore as the page is being constructed

A tag has been placed on Babul Ki Duwayen Leti Jaa requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Templarion (talk) 18:27, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
