Welcome![edit]

Hello, SweetPo65, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Copyright infringement[edit]

I can see that you are a new editor, but you need to know that Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. You must not copy and paste text from sources you find on the web into articles as you did in the article Genetically modified food. The infringing text has been removed because the material you copied is subject to copyright, as is almost everything on the web. When creating or expanding articles, you should completely rewrite the information from the source using your own words. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 12:36, 10 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your feed back and letting me know that I need to reword the information I cite. I was unaware and have learned from this experience for my future edits. I want to take this seriously and still add in this information onto the page under the labeling section. I took time to reword it in my own words, does this fit more appropriately? "The Non-GMO Project is the sole U.S. organization that does verifiable testing and places seals on labels for presence of GMO in products. The "Non-GMO Project Seal" indicates that the product contains 0.09% or less GMO ingredients, which is the European Union's standard for labeling. That looks much better to me. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:45, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
