A tag has been placed on Nichole Evelyn West, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

I would like to contest the nomination for speedy deletion. I have not moved far enough along on this article to even have it be deleted. I have not filled out my sources or finished gathering information. I had it saved as a draft for all of ten minutes before it was deleted. Wikipedia is supposed to be a global sharing network where anyone can access the information. Yet, I was not given the time to provide such things to give Wikipedia a valid article to share with their users. How can an unfinished article be advertising? The article ends in the middle of a sentence, obviously it is not complete. I started this project on a word document and pasted it in, it is my own work without ties to advertising. Allow me to finish what I have started, for it is just a draft, and the only purpose of the draft is to give people reliable information about the topic of Nichole Evelyn West, Vice President of AJS Holdings. An educated biography that cannot be finished if its being claimed as an advertisement.

I'm afraid that this article did have to be deleted, as in its current state it was indeed promotional. Articles in the main encyclopedia are assessed as they are. If you wish to create a draft article, put "Draft:" before the article name; in this case Draft:Nichole Evelyn West. However, even drafts may not be promotional. Stuff like "Always following her passion...", "...took on the California Cannabis Industry", "...because of her dedication to the Cannabis community...", "...could bring to life what the people wanted from their doctors...", and many, many more like it, are unnecessary fluff and "talk up" the subject, and that's a form of promotion. Articles should simply put forth the facts in a way that is neutral in both tone and content. If you want to try again, you can try creating a draft, but stick only to facts that are verified by reliable sources, and leave the editorializing and puff language out of it. Draft movement[edit]

You can ignore the speedy delete tag on your newest article. You misplaced draft from the article title, so I moved the page. You can now write to your heart's content at Draft:Nichole Evelyn West. Cheers.--SamHolt6 (talk) 20:56, 21 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you SamHolt6, but actually I cannot, I have had to restart 'my fluff piece'. Because it wasn't 'facts', according Seraphimblade, it doesn't matter that it was a draft and I hadn't revised it, or the fact that I was just trying to get the ball rolling to try to find a way to write this. It hadn't been up for very long and I hadn't had time to adjust anything or reread what I had written previously. How is someone supposed to draft and write an article if it is shut down before any changes could be made? How can anything be adjusted and fixed if someone doesn't have time to correct mistakes without the entire thing being deleted? I thought the reason that pages had to be submitted for review by wiki was for that very reason, so it can be fixed and handled not just deleted on a whim. That way notable information and correct information can be shared with its users. Am I going to be able to even write such an article without it being deleted before I can make the necessary corrections next time? Because a rough draft is exactly that, a rough draft. It isn't finished, it hasn't been looked over, it was just written so that I had a basis of things to go on. I'm sorry that because I am not the most strong writer, I needed to get the ideas out and see what I could do with the information later. Not everyone writes that efficiently to always sound unbiased. So I'm asking nicely, please allow it to be finished and sent to wiki before dumping all over it, once it is done, it isn't a problem. I would like opinions and criticism so I can make this piece accurate and well written, but I wasn't even given that chance. I started the piece today, and was not able to even touch it before it was deleted. I will no longer create a draft in Wikipedia until it is perfected on another site first. I apologize for thinking that I could write freely for a time, it will not happen again.

It has been Deleted, over and over and there's nothing left[edit]

Is this a joke? It's been deleted, this is about the fifth time. The only thing I have on that topic says 'Draft: Nichole Evelyn West'. Why would the word, 'draft' and 'Nichole Evelyn West' be deleted?

A tag has been placed on Nichole Evelyn West requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Nichole Evelyn West moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Nichole Evelyn West, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. RESPONSE[edit]

That is because I was in the middle of trying to edit it. It had been less than five minutes. I need more time than that. It isn't fair that I am being specifically targeted when the work isn't even finished. It was one sentence that I accidentally saved before I could do anything else. I'm literally begging Wikipedia, to let me just type it out.. I keep trying to do that. Thank you for your help.

Which is why I moved it to the draft space to allow you time to work on it. You're not being targeted, this is actually a help for you rather than the page being deleted. When you're done, submit it for review and have it published then. Generally drafts aren't deleted until at least 6 months of inactivity, unless it's blatant spam, vandalism etc. If you're working on it though go right ahead. RickinBaltimore (talk) 21:23, 2 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.

You're welcome and if you need any advice or like an honest opinion of the page feel free to leave me a message. RickinBaltimore (talk) 21:26, 2 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I will definitely take you up on that offer, thank you again. I appreciate it immensely.

The thing is, there's potential for an article because the subject does appear to have notability to justify a page. However, it's way to spammy and promotional in it's current form. Can I suggest looking at various biographies of different business people and seeing how they are written from a neutral viewpoint, then taking that to these articles? I don't really see how, it is written to inform people, no one is saying to buy something, or trying to spam. It states the facts about Nichole Evelyn West, from the sources that I was able to find through news sources and magazines. There isn't many articles to go off of because until recently anything involving marijuana was considered taboo, so being able to tell people about this person could be fundamental in informing the general public on such topics. If it is because of my style of writing that is causing the issue, is there any way I can have a professional wiki editor fix it? Or at least show me the places where the article can be fixed? So I can readjust the way the page is read? What particular components don't fit the criteria? Can I fix it more? Can I get another revision from the those of you administrators at Wiki?
