Wrong algorithm[edit]

Could you please stop trying to add an animation of Kruskal's algorithm to the article about Boruvka's algorithm? Kruskal's algorithm is the one that adds the edges one at a time in the order of their weight, matching what your animation shows. Boruvka simultaneously adds a lot of edges, the shortest edge out of each vertex in the first round and then the shortest edge out of each tree in subsequent rounds. —David Eppstein (talk) 15:14, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Prim-algorithm-animation.gif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 01:55, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tools Used[edit]

Hi there, I was wondering if you could tell me what tools you make use of to create those wonderful graph animations you authored. I would greatly appreciate it. Lyle Stephan (talk) 22:13, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Prim-algorithm-animation-2.gif has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
