Re: Revert[edit]

Hi, could you be more specific about the article you're enquiring about? As a recent changes patroller, I revert a lot of apparent vandalism and it does not appear I have reverted anything under this username. Could you respond with the article title, the username or ip address that made the edit, and, if possible, a link to the edit? Thanks, Redfarmer (talk) 14:52, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, now I remember that one. The reason it was reverted was because you inserted a short paragraph stating, "some of these dates are questionable." This made it appear as if it may not be sound and could be an attempt from someone trying to advance a point of view. If there is controversy in regards to the dates, you should consider adding a paragraph with citations to secondary sources which discuss the controversy over the dating. Simply inserting an unsourced paragraph such as you did is against our verifiability policy. I apologize if you did make the edits in good faith. To avoid this in the future, please consider adding citations anytime you add new information to an article. If you have any further questions or I can be of any other assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know. Cheers! Redfarmer (talk) 15:03, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
