Blocked as a sock puppet[edit]

You have been blocked indefinitely as a sock puppet. (blocked by –MuZemike 00:00, 12 July 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Request reason:

I'm sure hoping someone can help me out. I am a brand new user to wikipedia for only two days and I have been blocked for no reason. I made very constructive edits if you look and an administrator is claiming that I am someone else and that is not true. There was an edit on WBBM-TV's page that was incorrect and I made the necessary corrections. Apparently, an administrator thinks that I am that person also and I am not. Its very frustrating to be blamed for something I never even did. Please look and find concrete evidence before blocking me. I looked at the sockpuppet's edits and they surely don't resemble the one's I made. They continuously undid edits each and every time. The edits I conducted were never done by the confirmed sockpuppet if you look. There was a specific name that had a wrong station they were at and I corrected that. All my edits were very constructive and I did not undo any edits that were already done. It's a shame that someone has blocked me when I haven't even been on wikipedia more than two days. If someone could please look into this matter I would greatly appreciate it. Sz83 (talk) 05:06, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Checkuser verified sock of blocked user. I've hardblocked the associated IP as well. --jpgordon::==( o ) 05:49, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Your editing pattern is clustered exclusively around the precise range of pages that were edited by the indicated sockmaster and every single one of their Checkuser-confirmed sockpuppets. This, I would surmise, is the reason. This is just what I can glean at a casual look. The exact resemblance of the edits isn't within my current patience or state of wakefulness to look into, but I expect another administrator would be happy to do so and offer an additional opinion. - Vianello (Talk) 05:30, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

After a few days of reflection, I never realized how much I miss wikipedia editing until I was blocked for my own stupid and inappropriate behavor. There will be no more usernames or sockpuppets for that matter ever again. All I am asking for is if you could please unblock my IP address b/c there have been some updates on certain people and I would love to put that information on Wikipedia. I am absoutley begging an administrator to find it in the "Heart of Hearts" to restore just my IP address 98 223 95 42, it would really make my summer that much brighter. If I ever get caught being a sockpuppet again, you have my right to ban me from ever editing on Wikipedia again. That is my promise. The reason I can't request this unblock on the main account which was TVFAN24 is b/c that user talk page has been blocked. Thank you so very much and I will NEVER disappoint the Wikipedia community again. I am ashamed at how I acted and can only move forward. Sz83 (talk) 21:04, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

After a few days of reflection, I never realized how much I miss wikipedia editing until I was blocked for my own stupid and inappropriate behavor. There will be no more usernames or sockpuppets for that matter ever again. The whole reason I was upset was b/c I had edited those pages a year ago and then all of a sudden someone came in and reverted them and I worked on those few pages for a couple of weeks and felt like all my hard work was thrown in the dumpster. Thank you so very much and I will NEVER disappoint the Wikipedia community again. If you look at my edits before this occurence, they were very construtive and I never vandalized. I am ashamed at how I acted and can only move forward and I can only show you through my new and very much improved behavior. NO MORE EDITING UNDER ACCOUNTS ONLY MY IP ADDRESS. ALL THE SOCKPUPPET ACCOUNTS CAN STAY BLOCKED INDEFENTLY I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THAT DECISION. I WILL NEVER MAKE ANOTHER ACCOUNT AGAIN. I could see if I had been blocked time and time again but I haven't. I am an avid TV watcher and when I find out breaking news I always come to wikipedia to make the necessary changes b/c some were never edited. If just one editor could do this I wouldn't know how to thank you enough. Let's just say I would forever be indebted to you. I wouldn't go through all this appeal and typing if I wasn't absoutely honest and sincere. Sz83 (talk) 21:21, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pretending to be nine different people is an inherently dishonest thing to do, and that makes it difficult to believe you about other things. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:36, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you I guess I was just acting out of anger but there was no excuse for that. How about this: If you unblcok my IP address I still will not edit on Wikipedia for a few weeks. The only thing I would do is put a Thank You on the administator's talk page if they were kind enough to unblock me. You could easily check to see if I lyed or not. If my IP is unblocked, I will not edit for 3 weeks from today which is August 4. That's the only way I can think of to show you how truthful I am. If I edit before August 4 which I won't, you can ban not block me forever. How about that. Other than the Thank You, I won't edit until August 4, 2010. That will show you even though I had the privilege, I can still refrain from editing as part of my punishment. Maybe then, I can finally regain your trust. Generally, we're not interested in making those kinds of deals. As a counter-offer, consider the standard offer to blocked users, which is pretty much the only way you are ever going to get unblocked at this point. Beeblebrox (talk) 22:16, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Part of the problem is that you have consistently shown that you are not willing to listen to anyone by creating new accounts and causing problems. So if you really, truly want to show us that you have changed, you need to start listening. You need to stop editing for at least six months, preferably longer. You need to commit to showing everyone that you are willing to listen to the community and not ignore everyon. If, after six months, you have not edited at all, then you should send an e-mail to an administrator, and ask them to unblock you, or at least allow you to edit your talkpage. If you do that, then you will eventually get unblocked. If you keep insisting on a time just a few weeks from now, though, you will likely be blocked from editing this talk page, and eventually someone will push for a community ban. If you are serious, and want to come back, then this is the best way. Otherwise, you are wasting everyones time. Sodam Yat (talk) 22:09, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
