Hi. Not to worry; it isn't lost. It's just that it was (a) impossible to understand and (b) it failed to establish notability. If it's a legitimate broadcast facility, then yes, it's eligible for inclusion. Pirate stations and most internet radio stations are not. Take a look at WP:YFA and I'll create a user subpage for you which will allow you to work on the article here on the site but off of the article space. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:01, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK, you'll find it at User:THEKUBE/MT.Radio. I should tell you that since it's a defunct internet station, it fails both WP:WEB and WP:NOTABILITY. FYI, If you're trying to write a school report, please note that this isn't a web hosting service. I hope this helps, but I should tell you right off the bat that the article doesn't stand much chance of staying on the article space. Good luck and have fun. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:05, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, I meant "defunct." It's a German word in common English usage which basically means "no longer in use." And yes, I'm afraid it really was that hard to follow. The manual of style can help. So can this section on your first article. If you're a licensed, low-power FM, you're eligible for an article but if you're a pirate station, no. There was a pirate station which operated for a brief time near where I live and it was gone within days. A guy I once worked with got a hold of an old FM exciter, did his own little station and zing. Same thing. The FCC takes things like that seriously and I urge you not to continue without a license. Take it from someone with a lot of experience in the broadcast industry. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 14:51, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PS: I just reviewed the article and since the station is a pirate, it isn't eligible for inclusion. Again, if you're serious about broadcasting, contact the FCC and apply for a license. All the other stations in your area broadcast with a license with revenue coming from the sale of advertising. Any FM below 92.7 is public radio, but they're licensed as well. In broadcasting as a pirate station, you're violating federal law and potentially drawing audience and revenue away from licensed stations. If your operations interfere with a licensed station's broadcast signal, you're really flirting with trouble. Friendly advice from --PMDrive1061 (talk) 14:58, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm not mad at you. I just don't want to see you get in any trouble. I'll restore the page for now, but I can't keep it up for long. You should copy and paste it to a word processor. PMDrive1061 (talk) 22:29, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Because your account was used for promotion of a company, group, product or organization with a username that violated username policy as it promotes (or implies affiliation with) the aforementioned. This includes, but is not limited to: adding spam links, creating promotional pages (this includes user pages), adding advertisements to existing articles, and adding promotional/favorable content about something you are affiliated with.

Use of Wikipedia for promotion of people, products, companies or other groups (even non-commercial or charitable ones) is considered spam and is forbidden. Such actions will result in the blocking of the account involved. Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest for our policies about this.

In addition, user accounts are for individuals only, not for companies or groups or other collective editing. Your username should reflect this. Usernames that appear to be promotional (such as those that make reference to a company or product) violate our username policy and are typically blocked to enforce that policy.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this message box.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Tell us what new username you want to use. Please make sure that your new username does not violate our username policy and check that it has not already been taken (click here to search).
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If instead you believe that you have been blocked by mistake (i.e., you have not in fact been using Wikipedia for promotional purposes), please write {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this message box and replace the text "Your reason here" with the reason why. See also Wikipedia:Appealing a block for more information. Smashvilletalk 14:04, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
