I might also point out that you're going to want to be careful about creating articles for subjects of rather dubious notability. Within North Dakota, something like Central North Dakota Steam Thresher's Reunion might be notable enough for its own article, but that notability probably doesn't translate into being notable enough for its own article on here. --MatthewUND^(talk) 06:39, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm very happy to have you aboard! I hope I didn't offend you be mentioning that it is best to create articles for only notable subjects. Like you, I love North Dakota and I would like to have articles for all sorts of things in the state which, in reality, really aren't all that notable outside of the state. We just have to remember that, in the end, an article about a non-notable subject is bound to eventually get deleted. Answers to your questions

First of all, you might want to take a lok at Talk:North Dakota State Bison football to see my response pertaining to the article's low importance rating. I hope that answers your question for the time being. Next, don't worry about what Google lists. Even though the article you're talking about has already been deleted, the Google database will probably take a while to realize that the article is gone. However, after a while, the link to the deleted article will no longer show up in Google. Lastly, about your question pertaining to bringing an article up to a higher class, that is done by thoughtful expansion and improvement of the article. One of the more important things that needs to be done in order for an article to have a higher rating is to make sure that the article is thoroughly sourced. Unfortunately, on Wikipedia we are not able to use images that you find on an external website. Image:Museumfacingnorth.jpg was taken from http://www.rogermarismuseum.com/museum/. I've removed the image from The Roger Maris Museum article and listed the image at Wikipedia:Copyright problems. The result will probably be that the image will be deleted. I invite you to scan through Wikipedia:Copyrights to learn more about what types of images may and may not be used on Wikipedia. I would think twice before making a SPA page. I'm not sure that other users would feel the group was notable enough for an article. Before creating any article, it is a good idea to 1) check out Wikipedia:Notability to see if the subject deserves an article and 2) make sure that worthwhile sources can be found pertaining to the subject and are effectively used to cite the article. Often, instead of simply creating a brand new stub article for a subject, it is a good idea to expand an existing article that in some way can address the subject. ---Peer reviews--- The University of North Dakota and North Dakota State University articles are currently up for peer review. Please take a moment to visit UND's peer review and NDSU's peer review. Read through the articles and then share your opinions of where the articles currently stand and how they might be improved. Peer review is often a step in the process of getting articles to Good Article or Featured Article status. As a WikiProject, we are very much in need of more GA or FA class articles.	Housekeeping ---Mandan demoted--- After a review, the Mandan tribe article is no longer considered Featured Article class. Your source(s) for Rock Township

I've been reviewing your contributions to Rock Township, and they are missing reliable, verifiable sources per WP:VERIFIABILITY and WP:Reliable sources. I am working on populating articles for all of the townships in North Dakota, and think your contributions will fit well. However, in order to clean up the article to meet Wikipedia standards, could you please provide what source or sources you used for the history information in the article, such as a website or which particular book you used. If the information is based on your personal knowledge of the township, that is OK to a point, but to avoid the prohibition on original research, it needs to be verified by some other source as well. If the information cannot be verified by a reliable source, it may have to be deleted. I have access to a number of historical documents through the State Library here in Bismarck, and would like to help improve and provide proper citations for the article. I just did a quick check with the ND state library site and ODIN catalog, and that particular book does not seem to be available in any library in the state. Google Books also doesn't pull it up. However, I would take you at your word that the text came from that source. It should be sufficient to just add that source to the article.
