If you have a sec, you may want to have a quick refresh of MOS:ALT (which confirms what alt tags are for, how they relate to captions, and that "alt text is intended to be read out by screen readers just before the caption, so avoid having the same details in both".) And maybe MOS:IMAGERELEVANCE (which confirms that images should be relevant to the topic and "not primarily decorative". A random 21st century image of a modern Virgin-branded balloon (taken goodness knows where) is not representative of either Tullamore or the 1785 crash.
