Query[edit]
You seem to be doing an awful lot of template work, and I'm trying to assume good faith, but it is odd that you are so experienced with wiki procedures, but have only been around for a short time, and do not even have a userpage yet. Care to explain? --Elonka 04:58, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- I wouldn't regard this little work on templates to be an awful lot of template work. What I coded is very basic and straight forward. I don't know whether you can understand this, but for people with knowledge in several computer, artificial and human languages this is really nothing. TalkChat (talk) 05:10, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

And what you're doing, coming out of nowhere to make complex templates, is still unusual, especially because you are doing this without any attempt at identifying yourself. - Ah, okay. Well, a bit of advice about the wiki-subculture. One of the subtleties here, has to do with the creation of userpages. When you edit without having taken the time to make a page, it makes your name show up as a redlink, which is usually (not always) a flag that there may be vandalism at work. On this large open project, there are hundreds of patrollers who are regularly doing sweeps for vandalism, spam, trolling, and everything else that accumulates. Since your name is still a redlink, this continues to set off flags. So, if you get a chance, could you please consider creating a userpage? Even if all it has is a few lines about your interests, I think it would be helpful. You can access your userpage here: User:TalkChat, or by clicking on your name in the top line of the browser. - By "flag" do you mean some software action that is triggered, like a list that only shows red users or so? Or do you mean only human reaction? If there are prejudices against red users and they get associated with vandalism by some, would it be good to educate those? You wrote you participated in "Wikipedia:Working group on ethnic and cultural edit wars" - how about a group that looks on cultural differences of editors? I can imagine that certain subculture pushes away people that have other customs. Is there some analysis in the background of the editors and how it changed from the beginning to now? - There are indeed prejudices against redlinked users, and those prejudices are well-founded, especially when those redlinked users act in unusual ways, and seem to be expressing resistance when they receive good faith advice. Administrators make countless blocks of redlinked users, 24/7. As for analysis, see WP:STUDIES. I am happy to not judge others on the colour of the link to their user page. When James F. Blake asked Rosa Parks to stand up, she didn't. And now Barack Obama is President-elect. - Um, that's a ridiculous analogy. :) I am giving you advice how to not look like a vandal or troll account. As you saw, you created a fairly useful page, and it was immediately tagged as "nonsense" and someone requested deletion. It's quite possible that the page might have been deleted, except that as the reviewing admin, I decided to take a closer look. I also decided to take some time to explain to you why some of the stuff that you were doing was setting off flags. If you want to ignore my advice, that's fine. Maybe you'll continue editing forever without a problem, maybe you'll run into more of the same. Personally, I think adding a sentence to your userpage like, "Hi, I'm TalkChat, I enjoy helping out with ISO stuff", would be a trivial way to avoid future problems. I wait for the day a James comes, alone, with a friend or with a mob. Maybe I still have no user page, maybe I have one. Rosa too stood up and didn't stay in the bus until the end at her live. In case I still have no page, and James asks me or threatens me, I maybe will just sit and wait and see what they do and how others react. Before Rosa Parks there were others, like Irene Morgan and Sarah Louise Keys. And probably much more that just stood up. Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is considered undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen.
