Eiffel Tower[edit]
Would you kindly stop replacing 'puddle iron' with 'wrought iron' in the Eiffel Tower article. According to Gustave Eiffel's documentation and the Société nouvelle d'exploitation de la tour Eiffel, it is made from puddle iron (and it's called that in English as well). Puddle iron is not an invented expression and it is very different from wrought iron and easily distinguishable. If you strike wrought iron with a hammer, it makes a disitinctive 'clang'. If you do the same to puddle iron, all you get is a dull thud. Puddle iron is produced in a puddling furnace. Wrought iron is actually made from steel produced by the Bessemer process. Why Eiffel chose puddle iron and not wrought iron is not clear because the latter could be made in large quantities both more quickly and cheaply.
