Glynn House

Thanks for Trewan Hall :) I've just realised we don't have an article on Glynn House at Cardinham - would this be something you might be interested in starting? It's a listed building, has housed John Glynn and Edmund John Glynn, and is now the home of Glynn Research Ltd, founded by Peter D. Mitchell, a Nobel Prize winner, and Jennifer Moyle. Thanks for your work on the list of ciders in Dorset. I remember seeing the same format used for the Devon list and thought that we need a bit of a rethink. It currently still feels a bit like something you'd find in the yellow pages. For lists to be of use to Wikipedia, we should try and strive to add more than just the location and a website. Perhaps we could add other columns for the year it was founded and/or ceased operation. Maybe coordinates as well as just the name of the town (see List of Scheduled Monuments in Greater Manchester). Anyway, these are just a few tips on how to strive for greatness if you're interested in working on the article. Its from the format I found at List of cider and perry producers in the United Kingdom (which does include website links). I went on to create separate lists Cornwall, Devon and Dorset. It's encouraging to see your work on improving the articles. There's a couple of pointers for improvement when looking to doing the same for other articles. One is that the map was too large for my screen's resolution. You could try moving it to its own section at the bottom, but it might just be easier to link to a map offline, as I have done in the article. Secondly, the coordinates were overly precise (four decimal places are normally the maximum for a building). I haven't amended all the coordinates yet. The reason that I added colons to the categories in your sandbox is that most categories that are used for articles in mainspace (that have been published) should not also be used for articles in userspace. For example, if someone copied the article on Winston Churchill to their userspace for work, that would be fine, but while there, it should not contain [[Category:British Prime Ministers]] otherwise, that would mess up the category. The standard way to do this is to put Colons after the double brackets, so [[:Category:British Prime Ministers]] which would make the show up as links rather than becoming part of those categories. While for the most part people can do what they want in their sandboxes, this is a case where policies should be followed and the colon added.Naraht (talk) 20:03, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
