A tag has been placed on Perfect vodka, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. —C.Fred (talk) 21:35, 6 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that Perfect Vodka, a page that you created, has been tagged for deletion. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

 • It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
 • It covers a topic on which we already have an article - :{article}. (See section A10 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at :{article}, or to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. GSK 05:06, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Perfect Vodka[edit]

Hi Tara. To repost you just need to click on Perfect Vodka and post your text (I assume you have written it off-line, since I can't see it in your contributions). It might be lower risk to post it here initially, and let me know if you want me to check it. You need to

 • provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. I would recommend putting your references in-line so we can see what each is supporting.
 • write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Think carefully about your choice of adjectives and avoid the ® symbol, it's a sure sign that spam will follow

You have an obvious conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your product is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest.

I hope this helps Jimfbleak - talk to me? 18:50, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tara, I've seen your message and will reply tomorrow Jimfbleak - talk to me? 19:58, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I've added a reflist template so your refs show. See what I've done to make the first two refs look better, do the others the same [url description]. I've added a couple of Wikilinks to other articles, needs more. If this is recreated as it stands, it will be deleted on sight. It's an extended sales pitch about organic spring water, certification gluten-free and so on with no facts at all. What are the sales in each country, profitability, alcohol content? Who are its competitors, share of the market? People are very suspicious about companies and their products and to have any chance of survival you need a factual encyclopaedia article rather than a eulogy about God's gift to vodka drinkers Jimfbleak - talk to me?

I understand adding more articles for reference, but I'm not understanding why the information about it being organic, gluten and GMO free made from Spring water is a sales pitch? This is the way the vodka is made so how should I add that in without it seeming sales pitchy? I stated it in the first line in a non subjective way simply writing out what the vodka is and then explaining what makes it that way at the end of the article. I've referenced other vodkas on wiki like Grey Goose and Ketle One and they seem to have the same information in their articles that I have in mine, i.e. the way it is made, the production and history of the product etc. And the references used in those articles are primarily not 3rd party sources. Originally when I set out to do this I didn't fully understand the parameters of wiki policies (completely my fault as I was trying to make a quick page in order to express the change in name and ownership so i did originally lift information right from the companies website). I do not work for either company, I'm from the area where the companies are located and have tried the brand and never understood why it didn't make it in the marketplace so I did some research and contacted the president of Perfect Brands LLC to get more info, it was at that time I decided to do a wiki page so more people would know about it because organic products, gluten free products and GMO free food are important subjects within health and nutrition. It is frustrating that there seems to be a pin on my head for having a conflict of interest here (unless the only conflict is that I actually like the product and there is little information out there about it). Simply put, I just want others to have a point of reference about what it is, where it came from, and how it is made. I understand that having seen the previous articles I've tried to submit may cause a negative connotation around my purpose for this article but I believe it is important to wikipedia to have this information. I will add in as much research as I can find (thank you for the article links). I hope that it will be viewed in the future with what I have written here in mind. I appreciate all your help Jim, the last editor did not respond to my comments and was not willing to help me further this endeavor, which I believe undermine the point of wikipedia. Unfortunately the internet can be nontransparent and it seems that good information is kept from this cite while useless information stays up. Not your fault, I know, but thanks for taking the time. look for my re-write in the next few days Tara dodson (talk) 17:28, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comments[edit]

Hi Tara, I made these minor edits, Mos and a typo.

 • I'd suggest removing "premium" from the first line, it looks like spam and is likely to make a reviewer suspicious about the aims of the article.
 • A celebrity endorsement, think Sean "Puffy" Combs and Ciroc better as A celebrity endorsement, as with Sean "Puffy" Combs and Ciroc; the original version looks like speculation rather than fact.
 • With the company being based out of South Florida... bigger household name-brands. The whole of this section is problematic. It is unsourced, and therefore appears to be speculation or your opinion rather than fact. If this can be referenced to an independent source, do so. If the company has published it as its own analysis of the future, present it as such and reference it to the appropriate page. Otherwise best to remove.

Thank you.

The article Perfect vodka has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies.
