Tim Boetsch at AN/I[edit]

Hi. There is a thread at the Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding the Tim Boetsch article and your edits on this page. Pinkadelica (talk) 05:47, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mr. Boetsch. I want to sincerely apologize that someone vandalized the article on you, and that you were the one who had to remove it. Vandalism is something we all have to deal with here, but usually not as personally as you have.
I see you also made some other edits to the article, such as this comment. In the future, it would be best to refrain from such threats. They are not appropriate for the article space, and in any event they run afoul of our policy of WP:No legal threats. In the future, if you need help with the article, please consider posting a notice at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard. That noticeboard is staffed by volunteer editors and administrators who are extremely experienced in keeping biography articles compliant with our strict policies on verifiablity.
You should also read the essay at Wikipedia:Suggestions for COI compliance, which gives guidance on editing when you have a conflict of interest, such as you have here. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Thank you and best wishes. — Satori Son 12:54, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

You have been indefinitely blocked for making legal threats against other users. SWATJester Son of the Defender 12:52, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Indef blocking a new user seems harsh if no-one told them the rules first, especially if they just read something like that about themselves. (repeated from Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Legal_threat_on_Tim_Boetsch}--Nate1481 14:50, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Whether it is harsh or not is irrelevant. Legal threats are unacceptable on this project. No exceptions. There is a venue for which he can make them, and part of that venue necessitates that he be blocked indefinitely until he rescinds the legal threats. SWATJester Son of the Defender 17:17, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mr. Boetsch, SwatJester is correct. Users are prevented from editing here while there is an outstanding legal threat. If you intend to edit here again, I suggest you use the email provided by Guy below to confirm your identity and give an update on the status of your announced legal action. Thanks. — Satori Son 17:49, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
