Hello there! There has been some discussion about the proper use of punctuation within quotation marks on the Apple Inc. page. It turns out that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style which specifically mentions this sort of thing. There seems to be a lot of controversy over the placement of the comma (,") or (",), but I think that the Manual of Style suggests placing the comma after the quotation mark when the comma does not 'belong' to the text within quotations. I had also run across the website that you mentioned in your revision, but I imagine that Wikipedia's own style manual would supersede that of an external source. Please join the discussion here so we can keep all of the comments in one place.

PS: I've never created a talk page from scratch before, so please forgive me if I didn't do it right! E James (talk) 20:35, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spiritual Bone[edit]

Just fyi, I've deleted and salted the article Spiritual Bone. Hopefully that will take care of the recreation problem. --Fabrictramp 22:37, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Citation[edit]

If you feel he's relented you should provide a citation. He still refers to it as netcast during the shows and still uses it in the slogan. I see no real evidence that he's drastically changed his position on his preference for the term netcast.--Crossmr (talk) 07:45, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see you've sought interest in creating a WikiProject for the Boondocks. Well I've established it. See the linked page for details, and add your name to the member's list to join up. The Chronic 23:06, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Glitch[edit]

I'm not sure if there is a glitch or not but the Dr. Eli Todd article is not showing all the text it should. Can you please click on the link and edit it to see all the text that should be there and fix it or explain on my talk page.--Eli Todd (talk) 21:35, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bone Thugs[edit]

Hi there, you have recently undone my edit to Bone Thugs article, without explaining any reasons. I don't think such actions would contribute to raising the quality of any article. So would you please explain the reasons that made you revert my edit?

Just to remind, I've changed one of BTNH's genres from "Rap" to "G-Funk", without editing references to other genres like "Midwest Rap" and "Gangsta Rap".

They can still be G-Funk without being produced by Daz, Dre or Quik, having "gg" in their names or residing on the West Coast - for the simple fact that their music is as mellow, tuneful and funky as any other G-Funk track. "G-Funk" is a term that describes the features of the music, not its regional expansion.

And most importantly, All Music Guide, the most reliable music source I know, states explicitly that Bone Thugs are indeed G-Funk: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:dxfrxqe5ldde~T1

Thus I'm going to re-introduce my edits, and would like to read your reasons. Netrat_msk (talk) 08:50, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request for approval of external link on the Oak Cliff, Dallas article[edit]

Hello- I am contacting you because I noticed you are a member of the WikiProject Dallas/Ft Worth group, and that you have made edits to the Oak Cliff, Dallas article.

I would like to add the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce's website URL to the External Links section, but cannot do it myself (or without approval by a third party) due to the COI of being the webmaster for the site.

There is precidence in support of listing the link. Fort Worth has their Chamber listed in EL's (tho Dallas does not). Also, there are many, many entries for individual chambers as articles in WP, ie, North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, and they list their own sites in the EL section.

The URL is www.OakCliffChamber.org. I don't mind putting it up as long as an objective third party approves it. Thanks for considering it!

BTNH Spam[edit]

This is getting a little out of control. How do we go about getting this page protected? Hazir (talk) 02:06, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unless the spam is especially egregious and continuous, admins won't protect it. Thanks for your input, though, and keep an eye out for this. If you see a case where that is what is happening, go to WP:RPP, follow the instructuins and an admin will make the call. τßōиЄ2001 (ǂ ) 03:34, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Syfy (disambiguation)[edit]

I have nominated Syfy (disambiguation), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Syfy (disambiguation). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
