WP:NOBAN

NOBAN is a guideline, not a policy, but it's still valuable. Its first sentence says, "In general, it is usual to avoid substantially editing another's user and user talk pages other than where it is likely edits are expected and/or will be helpful." At this point, after User:82.15.11.237 has frantically reverted you ten times in just over an hour while repeatedly asking you to stop, I'm wondering what positive outcome you're foreseeing. @CityofSilver: I was hoping that the IP might see sense and realise calling enough editor a "vandal", when all they did was break 3RR, was unacceptable. I accept I went OTT in my edits, but his behaviour is not accpetable on Wikipedia. If that happened again, I would play my cards differenently, but I think the IP should not be so naive to think that he did nothing wrong, and should realise calling another editor a "vandal" was unacceptable. Doctor Who (series 9)

Hey, Ted. So, concerning Doctor Who (series 9), I picked the colour that appeared most through the entire cover (as that's how consensus has determined we should do it per WP:TV and MOS:TV). To do this, I use a tool called TinEye Labs, which separates the cover into separate colours - you can see this here. If you see the list, you'll see that #332C26 is the most common colour, hence my edit here. #C1B7A8 doesn't appear in the list, and I'd probably say that it's not even the colour of the sky. Didn't know about that tool, I just used an ordinary colour picker in Paint. You can change the colour then, if you want to, there's no big difference anyway. Intyre (talk) 14:39, 6 May 2017 (UTC)

@GUtt01:As I wasn't an editor at the time of this discussion, the discussion having happened about 10 years ago, I am not certain where the discussion is, I've only seen it mentioned by other editors, but this discussion might be the one your looking for. @GUtt01: In summary, titles of serials and television series are italicized, whereas titles of episodes use quotation marks. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Titles: Use italics for the titles of [...] television series / The titles of [...] television episodes [...] take double quotation marks instead. Specifically for Doctor Who, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Doctor Who/Style advice: Where mentioned in subsequent text, serial titles from the classic series [...] should be italicised / Episode titles from the new series [...] as well as individual episodes within serials [...] should be put in quotation marks.
