The Rest was the house where I grew up. I lived there from the year I was born (1974) until I moved to Maryland in 1995. My family still owns the house so I have the line on that. The other 'facts' I have learned through the oral tradition of Smithsonian walking tours, stories my parents told at office parties we threw at the house for the World Bank, and my wife googling of the house. So I thought you might have some insight given your close San Diego ties (I live in LA now - so we love trips to SD!) Tedwillett (talk) 15:20, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

How cool that you grew up in this historic house! However, you need to be careful about the information you add; it has to be something you got from a reliable source. Ironically, first-hand material like your family's oral traditions or even your own experiences growing up are not supposed to be used for Wikipedia, because it can't be verified. Wikipedia does not like that kind of primary source and much prefers secondary sources like news articles, books, etc. (the kind of thing your wife is searching for). The Historical Society page you have used is a fine resource. Any other public record such as the city's proclamation listing it as historic would be excellent. News stories about charity events at the house, Smithsonian information about walking tours, anything along those lines would be fine. The source does not have to be available online; it's OK if all you have is a clipping or program or something similar. Google, Google News, and Google books are good places to look for sources. If you can find three or more such sources, you may have enough for your draft to become an article. But do be cautious about using information that you can't cite to some publicly available source. Hey there The Voidwalker I want to add photos to a bunch of pages. I saw your page and thought you might be able to help. Are there guidelines to doing this? I tried to add a photo of Paula Faris to her article (I was watching Keith Olbermann on The View and was trying to find out who all the co-hosts were and thought that photos would help since I am not a regular The View watcher.
