UTA page[edit]

Hey. You're quite welcome about the photo images. I did a year of my undergrad at UTA, my sister went there, my parents went there, and I grew up in Arlington. I actually graduated from Tech though and I'm a grad-student there now. You don't have any photos of the UTA campus do you? Personally, I think the images that are there now should be split up from side to side to give the page a little more balance. If you look at Texas Tech's page, that's an example of what I'm talking about. It would be nice to get a couple shots of the more attractive buildings on campus and a few statues or art pieces. I don't really feel like I have the right to redesign the page dramatically since I'm not an actual alum or student there.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:SugarLandSeal.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SugarLandSeal.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:36, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Middle School links in a school district template[edit]

Hi! Uhm, there's no point in linking to those schools because the articles do not exist. WhisperToMe (talk) 01:23, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

But the other problem is that middle schools on here generally may not considered notable, so usually it is a good policy to leave high schools linked and middle schools unlinked to encourage creation of high school articles. Now, sometimes a middle school article may slide, but it can also be marked as non-notable and merged into the parent school district article. WhisperToMe (talk) 01:34, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1. This Wikipedia:Notability (schools) is a guideline - it's still under development and things are NOT set in stone. What may be a better indicator is this list of AFD/merging proposals here: Wikipedia:WikiProject_Deletion_sorting/Schools - 2. I don't feel I am that good of a judge of what schools are notable and which ones aren't - I just prefer to encourage creation of high schools. WhisperToMe (talk) 01:47, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • "Schools are frequently nominated for deletion, but consensus is frequently not reached. Most of the approximately 270 school articles nominated for deletion in the eight months January to August 2005, resulted in no consensus, while fewer than 15% have actually been deleted. Most elementary and middle schools that don't claim notability are now getting deleted in AfD, with high schools in most cases being kept. Schools which do get deleted are frequently, although not always, redirected to the school district which operates them." WhisperToMe (talk) 01:50, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Yep I read that. Still not impressed. I believe all of the middle schools should be included in the template whether they are linked or not. At any rate, Fort Settlement clearly meets the notably standard as it was a Blue Ribbon School in 2007. Tee Owe (talk) 01:57, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
      • Good - the article's created :) - If you want you can start a discussion about WP:Schools about school district templates. WhisperToMe (talk) 02:34, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Georgy Porgy (song), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.toto99.com/blog/ency.php?/archives/320-GEORGY-PORGY.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Please remove or update the logo on the Texas Health Resources page. It is out of date. Jayhog6510 (talk) 16:51, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Southland Conference Template[edit]

Thanks for correcting the colors on the Southland Conference template, I appreciate it. I didn't have the patience to go in and find the correct colors for many of the schools which didn't list them on their Wiki's. It's a very nice navbox; if you have any other input I would be glad to implement it. Thanks again, ThomasHorn7 (talk) 12:40, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
