Could you please add a citation to the information you've added - you may well know it because you walk past the statue every day or whatever, but Wikipedia requires information to be sourced to "reliable sources". Good to know that the statue is OK. (I saw a newspaper article about the Cleethorpes one a couple of years ago and got interested... the article grew from there). Thanks. Edgar Allan Poe[edit]

I restored a line that you removed from Edgar Allan Poe. Your reasoning was that it had nothing to do with Poe's death; in fact, the line referenced one of the most frequently-cited theories of his death ("cooping"). Could you look at it again and see if you agree with its inclusion? Perhaps it just needs to be worded better. --Midnightdreary (talk) 13:39, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

August 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Oscar Slater may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 1 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • lawyers organised a petition, signed by 20,000 people,<ref name=Arthur Conan Doyle - Chronicles>({http://www.siracd.com/life/life_case2.shtml))</ref> and the [[secretary for Scotland]], [[John Sinclair, 1st Baron Pentland|Lord Pentland]],

Disambiguation link notification for December 17[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Armistice of Mudanya, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mustafa Kemal (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
