Please see WP:CSD#A7 -- besides the fact that simply writing one article over with another one has its pitfalls, it seems likely to me that the article as you like it would be deleted on-sight. So please do see WP:BIO and take that into consideration. Thank you. – Luna Santin (talk) 03:52, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Afraid not. In terms of policy, you're essentially recreating a speedily deleted article -- this can and will lead to your being blocked from editing in most circumstances. If you'd like a second opinion, feel free to ask at deletion review or the village pump. I would like to think of this as a friendly notice, but it is a notice, nevertheless, so please take it and heed it. Thank you. – Luna Santin (talk) 04:06, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting[edit]

Warning
Warning

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you. -- ReyBrujo 04:27, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Julia Price again[edit]

We have tried to talk to you, but you apparently don't undesrstand. The article you are creating has no notability claim other than, basically, "she is a nice girl." This is the last warning I will give you. If you change again the article, you will be blocked for disrupting an article. If you want another opinion, feel free to post a note at WP:3O. -- ReyBrujo 03:12, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Creating articles in another language[edit]

To write an article in Japanese, you will have to create the article in the Japanese Wikipedia. However, since it is a separate wiki, you will need to create a separate account, at least until single login is completed. Then, create the article under your new account. You will probably want to simply translate from the English version; however, you can attempt to write the article in Japanese yourself. Pyrospirit Flames Fire 22:57, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Listing another language's article on the English article isn't automatic. There's a bot to do it, but it often takes a while for the bot to get around to it. If it's not there yet, I'll add it manually right now. Pyrospirit Flames Fire 17:31, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yone Minagawa[edit]

Please READ before editing! The article says that Yone became the world's oldest person at 114 years 25 days old. That won't change just because of what today is.→ R Young {yakłtalk} 03:27, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And, furthermore, including her current age in days can be hard to maintain, and so I disagree with its inclusion. Georgia guy 22:16, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I fixed the problem with her age. By using templates, I was able to get the page to update automatically. If you have any questions about it, let me know. Have a great day. W. Flake (talk) 01:21, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of living supercentenarians[edit]

Please refrain from editing this article by removing Doreen Washington and Margaret Fitzgerald, plus changing the list numbers to reflect this, over and over again. Epstein works for Guinness and is considered a verifying source as regards to living supercentenarians, so his list of the oldest people is a proper list to cite from. If you don't think this should be so, please say so in talk, where it can be discussed and eventually adjusted, or at least say WHY you make a specifik change when you make it. Thank you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Mary Josephine Ray, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.nashuatelegraph.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080519/NEWS02/580400090/0/columnists. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Middletown, Rockland County, NY[edit]

The city of Middletown is in Orange County, and is not even close to the Rockland-Orange Border. And I also noticed that you just copy and pasted all the info on the Middletown, Orange County, New York onto your new page. Why did you create that page? -Please Respond, I'm not here to judge, sincerly, --Mr. Comedian (talk) 01:24, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I already set it up for speedy deletion, no problem. --Mr. Comedian (talk) 16:39, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Supernanny[edit]

Hi. Thanks for your interest and hard work in the List of Supernanny episodes article. However, I saw that you copied that material verbatim (and in some cases, nearly verbatim) from the episode synopses on ABC's website. This is not only plagiarism, it's copyright infringement, and can get Wikipedia in legal trouble. I didn't look through the Edit History enough to see if you were the sole editor who did this, or if others did as well, but any event, this not acceptable, or even legal. I did spot some instances in which the material contained some paraphrasing, and even a couple of episodes that are not even on ABC's site episode list, so I left those. In the future, please edit material found elsewhere, rather than copying it verbatim, and if you know of other editors who have done this, please let them know that it's not permitted, or just refer them to me.

I also noticed on this image page, you uploaded the Supernanny logo under a GNU Free Documentation license. That logo is protected by copyright, and is likely owned by ABC and/or the studio that produces the TV series. I'm pretty sure that the GNU FDL is only for material that is in the public domain, to which no one owns the copyright. You might want to replace that with a Fair Use license.

I know you're still kinda new to Wikipedia, so I hope I haven't come across as harsh, but if you have any further questions or need help editing, just let me know. Thanks! Nightscream (talk) 23:26, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

November 2008[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of Supernanny episodes. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 01:52, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Robert pattinson.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Robert pattinson.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 23:38, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Supernanny.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image which is not under a free license or in the public domain and it has not been used in any article for more than seven days.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
