August 2009[edit]

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of previously published material to our articles as you apparently did to Kent Hovind. Please cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. "All three and their spouses work in the ministry" ≠ "Mostly employing his own children and their spouses to serve the ministries operations". Additionally, the source you cited makes no mention of RICO. HrafnTalkStalk(P) 07:21, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hrafn you have a clear history of anti creationist meddling, and I believe you will be dealt with by an official, I am waiting to hear back from some. Obviously you have an agenda, but I am not "Kent Hovendite" I am just a guy that thinks that Wikipedia is better without the dogmatic brick walls of either nuts from the right or the left, I believe that balance is necessary for people to search out facts, and that neutrality is the goal of Wikipedia. I am going to stick with this, honestly you nuts have really pissed me off, with your quick erase tactics.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Kent Hovind. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. You appear to be edit-warring with at least 4 editors there -- myself, Arthur Rubin, Farsight001 & NeilN. Please do not attack other editors. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. [1][2][3][4][5][6][7] HrafnTalkStalk(P) 09:10, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 07:25, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Kent Hovind[edit]

I couldn't edit the page correctly as I know nothing about the subject. The best thing to do, to get the information you want on the page is to take it to the talk page and discuss it there. That is the best thing to do. Do not edit war on it, that will lead to warnings and possibly a block.

Unrelated to this, if you want to post on a talk page or WP page (like ANI) put your post on the bottom of the page, never at the top. It will be seen just as well at the bottom of the page. Secondly, please sign your posts with four tidles, ~~~~, this will give you an automatic signature and time/date stamp so we know who you are and when you posted.

If you have any problems, please contact me at my talk page and I will try my best to help. - NeutralHomerTalk • 09:06, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thankful21&3, have you read Wikipedia's guideline on reliable sources? If not, I suggest you do. Basically, you can't use Hovind's website or fringe sources as references for material you wish to add to the article. Also re: the bible quote - that quote appeared in a mainstream newspaper in an article discussing Hovind. Any rebuttal must also appear in a third-party reliable source. --NeilN talkcontribs 14:50, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
