I see... I can understand, but I went in and added things because a fan had messaged me on Facebook to let me know he had "spruced up" my Wiki page and there were some things added that a) I didn't want there. b) were wrong How else am I to make sure information about me is correct? I've messaged someone else who appears to have gone in and made changes to the page as well. I'm just asking for guidance here. Was there anything about what I wrote that you found offensive? Because it's all just factual as far as I'm concerned. Also, I noticed that there are photos linked to my Wiki page that are not of me and on the Drunktown's Finest page, there's a link to my page of the other Carmen Moore that starred in that movie. She's not me. Perhaps you know how to remove them?

Edit request[edit]

This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. Request belongs on the article's talk page.

Last year I was messaged by a 'fan' to let me know he had spruced up my Wikipedia page...I was slightly horrified, since he had added things I don't really want the world to know, and also false information. Not to mention, he wasn't so much with the words ;) So, I went in and removed what I didn't want (and the lies) and added a few unknown facts. Everything up there is now true.

The page was flagged and my account blocked, since I didn't know I wasn't allowed to talk about myself in this forum...hence the request. Apparently the page needs some cleaning up, and a more neutral point of view...which I'm fine with. As long as it's true...as long as my birth YEAR isn't listed (I've lost jobs because of it), and as long as the photos attached to the page are actually of me (not the transgendered porn star TS Carmen Moore).

I see that you've been having some difficulty, to say the least. I'd like to say this is unique, but unfortunately it is not. Wikipedia has a lot of rules and policies, many of which are described in the links I provided above. Even after reading them it may take a long time of editing here to really understand how and why they are implemented. Believe it or not, most are designed to protect the subjects of our articles, but in doing so that often makes it difficult for those subjects to correct problems with their own articles. (Each coin has two sides.) I apologize for the blunt and rather bureaucratic reception you have received. It's easy to forget how hard it can be in the beginning.
