November 2023[edit]

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Maghrebis. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Skitash (talk) 13:16, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, sorry to tell you but this is not a personal opinion, it is the opinion of most historians, I cited the reference, with the page and the book was available online, and I can also cite other references if necessary. The report is unjustified. The removal is therefore unjustified, I would like to notify an administrator. The Adam Truth (talk) 15:15, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Giving weight to a minority viewpoint is indeed considered POV-pushing. The Maghreb is widely known for being both Arab and Berber. I suggest you refrain from advocating WP:UNDUE arguments to the leads of articles, as you have done in Maghrebis. Skitash (talk) 16:05, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No, this point of view is not a minority, if the Maghreb is predominantly Arab linguistically, the Maghrebis are mainly of Berber origin, once again this is verifiable not only thanks to history (which it is modern historians or even primary sources) but also thanks to genetics. Even if this information irritates you, it remains real.
I can provide you with all the references on this subject (neutral references of course). No historian and no scientific journal will say the opposite.
The Adam Truth (talk) 16:11, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That is simply your personal opinion, which I have no regard for. I suggest you learn the difference between ethnicity and genetics. Skitash (talk) 16:17, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It’s funny because I don’t address ethnicity or identity. I talk about the population of the Maghreb and the main origins that there are in the Maghreb, I approach this subject thanks to history AND genetics (and when the two agree,  this 'is not a "personal opinion" but a fact).
Once again this is not my personal opinion, you can repeat it as many times as you want it will not change anything, you are obviously in denial and you are clearly not neutral. The Adam Truth (talk) 16:22, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Feel free to engage in nonsensical and unsubstantiated talk as much as you'd like. I have no interest in wasting any more time discussing with an obvious SPA. It seems evident that you're involved in the same cross-wiki abuse, pushing your biased point of view and engaging in edit wars on both Arabic and French Wikipedia.[1] Skitash (talk) 16:34, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Is my opinion biased? Good. Show me a single reliable reference stating that the Maghrebis are mostly not Berbers. I can find dozens of references, both historical and scientific, stating that the Berbers ARE the majority origin in the Maghreb. But this fact seems to irritate you to no end. And yes I try to correct the pages with errors but a small group of propagandists (of which you are surely a part given your denial on the issue) prevents me from doing so, hence the fact that an administrator must intervene. The Adam Truth (talk) 16:42, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You appear to be the one expressing irritation here. Make as many personal attacks as you'd like, but it is pretty clear that you did not even bother reading the sections on ethnic composition sections in Maghrebi country articles, such as Algeria. Persist in continuing this tantrum-like behavior and you'll find yourself in the Administrators' noticeboard. I am done here. Skitash (talk) 16:45, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It is clear that you have not understood (or pretend not to understand) that I do not care about ethnicity or identity. I'm talking about origins, genetics. The Maghreb is a subject of study that researchers consider interesting in particular because its population has mainly adopted a language and an identity which was initially not its own and only a small part of the population has been able to retain its language and its original identity. You focus on ethnicity so as not to see the heart of the matter. Good luck. The Adam Truth (talk) 17:00, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
