It's an admirable cause, but Wikipedia prefers to document groups that are notable in some way. If you can provide verification that the FPA fits under the information in that link, please do so. I respect your views on this subject, however i feel that all organisations must start somewhere and I believe that one day the the FPA will become a world renowed organisation. I do accept that that time isnt now and the current membership is only in the region of 80 members but across staffordshire but we are growing considerably and appeared briefely in a local newspaper. Certainly, all organizations must start somewhere. I just doubt that a small local organization of about 80 people has any particular impact outside of its small group of members at the moment. When the FPA is a world-renowned group, it will certainly qualify for inclusion here. I don't know that there's a definite membership threshold for inclusion, but a group that is essentially local is unlikely to warrant inclusion yet. Joyous | Talk 16:52, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition to the football page looks fine to me. As for the FPA article, I think that having an idea of what is notable enough for inclusion just comes with experience. We have several mechanisms in place to deal with articles that editors don't think belong. One is called "speedy deletion," which allows administrators to immediately delete articles that fall under certain guidelines. The 2nd tier is called Proposed deletion, in which a tag is placed on an article that someone believes will not be contested by anyone. If there is no contest by the article's creator, or anyone else, the article is deleted in 5 days. Sometimes, an editor believes that there may need to be some discussion about whether an article should be removed. These articles are turned over to "Articles for deletion". Many long-term editors have followed discussions like these for months (or years) and have seen precedents set for what kinds of articles stay, and which ones are eventually deleted. I really feel that if I hadn't deleted the FPA article, another administrator would have, or a non-administrator would have tagged it for deletion anyway.

Having said that, I hope you don't decide to leave Wikipedia. We're always looking for new editors, but you might try editing some already-existing pages instead of creating new ones (as I see you've already done with Football (soccer). This would let you get your feet wet, and become familiar with existing policies and guidelines.
