Original Research and Verifiability[edit]
I have removed the entire section on Etymology that you added to Lord Voldemort. Your edit summary indicated you believe them to be sound. Unfortunately, this is irrelevant. Two of Wikipedia's core policies are verifiability and no original research. Your inclusion violates both. In particular, as the verifiability policy states explicitly,
The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth.
So the soundness of the material is not relevant. If you want to request possible verification, this should be done in the talk page. As it stands, the material clearly violated the original research policy. Sorry. Magidin (talk) 21:11, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
