The Block situation[edit]
To anyone reading this, this explains what is below, I joined wikipedia for the one purpose of helping to edit a show that I liked, I would have just made the edit anonymous but due to a past experience, I felt that it is better to be a user, so i made my first edit and edited the date on the second and third episodes , because i know they are going to do it in three episodes at a time just like they did with the first, so i figured i would make a contribution as a way of giving back to the show, some time went by and i went back to check if anyone had heard anything new, or someone had put a new thing on the page, to my surprise my date that i had made changed back, it was like i didn't even matter i went to the edit history to see who made this change, because i didn't, know if it was someone who made a mistake or someone who was just being a bad person, there was nothing there except something about a source i couldn't understand, so i went back into editing and typed up a hidden message, telling that person about the season 3 part 1 argument, nothing happened, i also changed my dates back, next thing i know I'm getting angry messages from someone else on my talk page (keep in mind I didn't even know what a talk page was), i tried talking back to that person to reason with, but they never said anything, i went to check my dates again and surprised another person had changed them, but this person left no message, so i kept changing the dates back from before 2-3 times in 4-5 days, finally i got a message after i left another hidden message in the edit folder, a person had told me to stop so i went to their talk page and left a message onto one of their sections, to my greater surprise they left me a message, i told them what happened and they said to 1. make my own section on their talk page because they like to be organized and 2. to go talk about my edit on the season 3 talk page itself, i was so shocked to learn the season had its own talk page (he also told me about edit war and that's when i learned what was happening to me), so i went on there to voice my complaints, i thought that the other people would have already made a section ready for me to talk, but nothing so i made my own and changed the dates ready for someone to come and discuss, then it happened a person came, someone who wasn't changing my edits but someone who came to talk like reasonable people, and said my idea was fairly accurate, i was so happy, because i thought that everyone would come and we could finally discuss, but no one did they just kept having an edit war with me, and i knew that i wasn't going to take that lying down, i know i matter, so i kept fighting, but after awhile of what felt like 1 VS 100 (at this point i dont know if they were real people or one persons pretending to be 12), I decided to through in the towel, i made the changes back and left ( i also got tired of them changing my edits but not responding to my messages on their talk pages), but not before leavening a message that said when i am proven right i will return, then to my surprise i get the 48 hour block, because even though i told the truth and tried to explain things to the other admin, they said that there was a zero policy for edit wars no matter what side starts it, So my only hope is that i may be blocked but at least some of those other people probably are to. the rest of whats down there is just me trying to explain what happened, which is why i wrote this new section, to be honest i still dont know what i did to get everyone so freaked out over a date, because i didn't mess with anyone else stuff and only focused on my stuff which was a date edit which many people will probably agree on if you asked, I'm also checking out the 5 pillars of wikipedia someone mentioned on my talk page, and i even found out that the blocking system has received a lot of criticism and that edit wars happen a lot on here. So there you have my side of the story, since no one ever really cared to ask for it, do i think i should be blocked no, purely for moral reasons of trying to play nice and having to be constantly attacked up to the point of giving up, if you've read my story then you be the judge of what you think, also if you know if wikipedia has a self help number to call and get this straightened out please tell me. - The core pages you need to read here are WP:V, WP:CITE, and WP:RS. SO, yes, references. But only certain types of references, only references from reliable sources. For example, you can't use a fan site. --Yamla (talk) 17:20, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

If your talking about the comment i added, that was my bad, i didn't know about talk pages, and if you saw i was willing to have a conversation with anyone who would talk, but no one did, they just kept going edit war on me to the point where i didn't even care anymore about the date, but red and some other people just wont leave me alone, and keep trolling me, my edits were just based off of the first half of the season which a lot of people will agree is not far fetched, also it was just a date i was going to take away if someone could convince me not to, but all anyone wanted to do was edit war me, i am going to sit out this block and think about whether or not I want to return to wikipedia, Id rather go back to youtube at least there the entire website dosnt attack you, i just dont know.The Master 2121 (talk) 21:20, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Master2121
With all do respect babba I don't think you understand what this is about,also I consider your argument a little biased, this block is a complete overreaction, I did not start this edit war, all I was doing was adding in something that is the truth, and everyone kept vandalising me, what was I supposed to do just sit there and let myself get pushed around, no way, wikipedia isn't that reliable, why do you think people keep making jokes about it, if it was so reliable they wouldn't make it so just anyone could edit a page, also some college professors don't even let wikipedia be used for reports as a reference because of how biased it is. Yes I know wikipedia isn't youtube, on YouTube they don't kick you off for being a free thinker who tells the truth, and they would also give you a little waring first. I have read the policy’s, I wasn’t aware that I could report to anyone, I realized that it doesn’t excuse my actions, I just didn’t want to keep getting pushed around, I know that I should have waited the correct amount of time between to make a retraction, and then went to someone to make a complaint, I plan to avoid edit warring in the future by first going to someone page to try to talk to them and then going to the pages talk page and then going to an admin and reporting it, if unblocked I will still plan to make contributions, but not to the big pages but to the smaller pages that no one even notices, as a way for sticking up for the little guy.

Fine I’m sorry but to be fair, I did try to discuss, first by putting little messages in the edit notes and then trying to make a section in the talk page, but no one ever listened or cared to review or discuss. Huon, yes I am trustworthy that edit was just made for a vote of self confidence, but i knew it wasn't real that's why i deleted it afterwards, it was just nice to feel like i made a friend on here and not someone who was coming to where i live and attacking me. The other comments i deleted were because of they were so negative and i dont want that to be the first thing i see when i check for messages, if your going to come on my talk page i would hope you respect me and type nice short and sweet things, instead i got people who aren't even involved in this dispute coming here and saying i was right to be blocked without even hearing my side of the story, the reason Im not on Facebook or twitter is because i dont want to see people telling me messed up stuff the minute i log on, that's why i made that long message explaing everything that's happened, so that people can hear my side before making a judgement. its not nice to get jumped on by a million people who dont even want to talk about whats going on. To be unblocked[edit]
To have any chance of being unblocked there are a number of things you have to accept and understand;
- You don't edit war under any circumstances. No exceptions, no excuses exist that justify edit-warring.
- Whether something is "The Truth" isn't relevant, what is relevant is that you can provide verifiable and reliable sources that support your assertion.
- Your opinion or synthesis of things like episode guides to prove your point does not make that information acceptable, even if it probably or actually correct.
- You have to drop the "I am the victim here" attitude and accept that your conduct so far has not been acceptable.
It's editing like yours that gets Wikipedia a bad reputation for accuracy and reliability. Yes, anyone can edit and in most cases anyone can edit any article but that freedom comes with the need to make those edits within the framework of policies that you have been given the links to. I'll give you the initial edits you made to Young Justice: Outsiders on April 15 as well-intentioned but misguided; the reason being that loads of people come on to Wikipedia with a desire to add information but without realising the need to source their changes. You weren't the first and you won't be the last to have that understanding but most learn from the subsequent experience, you don't appear to have made that step so far. I'd even go as far as to excuse your next edits to the article on April 22 for the same reason. However that's as far as it goes - after that you made 3 reversions in quick succession, on each occasion ignoring the warnings and links placed on this, your talk, page.
We then have a spate of daily addition and reversion of the same material with absolutely no attempt by you to source the information other than "prove me wrong", no attempt to discuss with anyone why they are reverting your edits and apparently no possibility crossing your mind that you might be wrong. Did it ever occur to you that the edits were being reverted for a reason?
It's only on April 30 that belatedly you start a discussion on the article talk page but instead of waiting for that discussion to finish you then continue on the cycle of adding unsourced speculation, then re-adding it when it is reverted. That leads to the block and gets us to where we are now.
If I see some satisfactory responses to the above that convince me that
- you are not going to repeat the behaviour you have demonstrated so far and
- you are not going to edit Young Justice: Outsiders or any other article without finding suitable sources to support your edit
then I will consider an unblock. All this comes with the warning that any repeat of your conduct so far if you are unblocked and the block will be reimposed and you'll have to convince someone else that you are trustworthy - with two indefinite blocks by that time, good luck with managing that.
