Major league rosters are for major league players[edit]

Players in minor league camp, most of whom do not have an article, do not belong on major league roster templates. Please stop readding them. – Muboshgu (talk) 20:34, 19 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

South Hamilton Yard moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, South Hamilton Yard, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~~ OxonAlex - talk 10:52, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

December 2019[edit]

Please stop adding the same images to Cincinnati Terminal Subdivision - they are improperly formatted and display at ridiculous sizes, and so many is inappropriate for such a small article anyway. Per WP:BRD if an editor reverts your addition of content, do not simply keep restoring it without addressing the issue on the article's talk page and/or taking the time to understand what the problem is. What is wrong with this page? I do not agree with no significant context there is plenty of context on here that is relevant there is plenty of references not sure what else you need please let me know. Theaterofdreams2008 (talk) 01:44, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Insignificant contacts for those not familiar with the subject matter? I'm from that area and I'm a huge real fan so to tell me I'm not familiar with the subject matter the reason I created the Articles because I am very familiar with the subject. Theaterofdreams2008 (talk) 01:50, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't really explain why it would be significant enough for an article. Most train junctions don't have Wikipedia articles - in fact I'm struggling to think of one that does that isn't a junction station. The mere fact that it exists doesn't make it notable. Steam excursions passing through the railway junction aren't notable for Wikipedia in any sense (which is why none of that has any sources in the first place). The Drover's Wife (talk) 02:00, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't mean to come across as harsh, neither being a junction for two different companies (in and of itself) or being a significant location for railfanning is not a reason for notability on Wikipedia. I can't see any article being accepted on that basis by any reviewer. In general, Wikipedia notability requires significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, and that's extraordinarily unlikely to be met by any railway junction (unless notable for other reasons, such as a junction station). The Drover's Wife (talk) 02:27, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ultimately there's just a problem with the topic above all else: there being potentially rare articles on other junctions, or being able to reference the existence of the junction, does not amount to Wikipedia notability. I don't think it's something that can be improved: for example, if it was something that had been discussed in many newspapers or books (in more depth than acknowledging it exists) it might be notable, but I think that's very unlikely in this case.
