That was a quote from a review and properly presented and cited as such, so NPOV is not an issue. 86.131.176.213 (talk) 11:32, 2 November 2018 (UTC)

Crap, I actually didn't notice that was a quote. I stand corrected. theinstantmatrix (talk) 11:33, 2 November 2018 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – November 2018

News and updates for administrators from the past month (October 2018).

Guideline and policy news

Technical news

  • Partial blocks is now available for testing on the Test Wikipedia. The new functionality allows you to block users from editing specific pages. Bugs may exist and can be reported on the local talk page or on Meta. A discussion regarding deployment to English Wikipedia will be started by community liaisons sometime in the near future.
  • A user script is now available to quickly review unblock requests.
  • The 2019 Community Wishlist Survey is now accepting new proposals until November 11, 2018. The results of this survey will determine what software the Wikimedia Foundation's Community Tech team will work on next year. Voting on the proposals will take place from November 16 to November 30, 2018. Specifically, there is a proposal category for admins and stewards that may be of interest.

Arbitration

  • Eligible editors will be invited to nominate themselves as candidates in the 2018 Arbitration Committee Elections starting on November 4 until November 13. Voting will begin on November 19 and last until December 2.
  • The Arbitration Committee's email address has changed to arbcom-en@wikimedia.org. Other email lists, such as functionaries-en and clerks-l, remain unchanged.

Reverting edits

Why do you keep reverting my edits without justifying the reason? They are not vandalism so why are you acting like they are? 61.68.227.249 (talk) 11:20, 11 November 2018 (UTC)

Your edits for sure look like vandalism. If this is not the case (assuming good faith), please, you can use the article talk page to discuss changes you request. Pavlor (talk) 11:25, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
Blocked 32 hours. Denial isn't going to do you well on here, and you've continually inserted unprofessional phrases such as "rather piss-poor" and "bugger all" into an OS article. theinstantmatrix (talk) 11:38, 11 November 2018 (UTC)

you know which ones

When you see that happening, if you can, please call on an admin. Check Recent changes to see which admins are on call and bother the hell out of them until they block--the sooner they block, the better. I know it's not easy with the flurry of edits, and I want to thank you for keeping your eyes open and your rollback at hand. Drmies (talk) 04:18, 14 November 2018 (UTC)

A message from ELC-LC

Hi Theinstantmatrix, sorry accidentally clicked publish when I meant to hit preview. What would be the best way to include a word list for the article? ELC-LC (talk) 20:53, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

Hello ELC-LC. I was not aware the content you're adding is on an article about a pidgin language, leading me to think it was adding some sort of cryptic phrases or something like that. While I apologize for mistakenly thinking it was vandalism (and I've blanked my warning already), however, this is something that would be better if it was in prose format (see WP:USEPROSE). From my experience as a reader, language articles don't usually include a "list of words and their translations" on the article itself (see Spanish language, Japanese language, Powhatan language, etc.). Feel free to re add the content; I'll not remove it again, though beware that if it does get removed by somebody else, then you'll need to discuss this on an accompanying talk page rather than repeatedly adding the list over and over again. theinstantmatrix (talk) 21:41, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

Hello, Theinstantmatrix. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Hello, I am Jessen Paulin. Please let me edit my story. PaulinJ (talk) 13:34, 24 November 2018 (UTC)

Please see Wikipedia:Ownership of content; you don't own the content on that article, even on your own article. I had to revert your edits because of sentence changes contrary to Wikipedia's manual of style guideline, and that you've also removed categories here with an edit summary that says "removed dead hyperlink" (see Wikipedia:Link rot). For your username, please see WP:REALNAME. theinstantmatrix (talk) 13:54, 24 November 2018 (UTC)

Why did you remove my edit of DCA as a treatment to cancer in conjunction with anti-hyperglycemic agents? I hope your response is as swift as the time it took you to edit. 2607:FEA8:33E0:A02:D889:FB78:E8D0:FA74 (talk) 14:08, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi Theinstantmatrix,

Thanks for your edit on the DisgusedToast wiki. I'm confused by the copyright rules regarding the image I uploaded, are you able to link me/explain the rules? Also, how would I properly source an example of the catchphrases?
