In response to your feedback[edit]

Inline references support the text of an article and give source information. There is a "Cite" toolbar at the top of the edit window which allows you to automatically generate the required wiki code.

You click one of the templates, e.g. "book", and fill in the details.

More information can be found in Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or the citations tutorial (the below video will play best in Firefox or Chrome):

Hope this helps,

A tag has been placed on Comox Bay Sailing Club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. The reason your articles were deleted is because you did not demonstrate the notability of the subject. That doesn't mean that the club isn't notable, it just means you didn't show that it was. The best way to show that a subject is notable is by showing third-party references to it for example news coverage or books about local history that mention the history of the club. Remember that everything in the article needs to be backed up by a reference. You can use the club's website as a reference, but wherever possible you should try to use third-party references.
