Hi KylieTastic, why is an article from the New York Times focusing solely on Kadia Saraf and Terry Serpico not significant coverage? The whole article is about her and him. The New York Times newspaper is a solid source of independent news. Thoughts? Thanks so much for your help. YN Theyoganinja (talk) 15:27, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cabrils. Thank you for reviewing my page. I don't understand... there are people with WP pages that are significantly less notable than Kadia Saraf. She was in the NYT, in two Dick Wolf shows, with a high imdb star meter (which means millions look her up on imdb). She was in publications here (NYT) and in the UK and France. It seems like notability is a fine line. Can you please advise? thanks so much! Theyoganinja (talk) 09:18, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, TYN! You can read more about how Wikipedia assesses notability at WP:NOTABILITY and WP:NACTOR. Wikipedia doesn't care how many shows a person was in or about crowdsourced sites like IMDb. What we want to see are multiple instances of significant coverage of the subject in independent reliable sources. If you come across articles about subjects who don't seem notable, you can tag them for lack of notability and another editor will come along and check. Or you can nominate those articles for deletion.
Right now the article has a single source that would help support notability, the NYT article. Of the other two sources provided, one is about her husband and the other is a very short piece that appears to be lifted from the NYT piece, so can't be used to support notability.
