Book of Zechariah

You promoted three headings in this article to the top level. I thought they made sense as sub-sections of Book of Zechariah#Composition; do you strongly disagree? - Fayenatic (talk) 19:25, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Oh, whoops. Thanks for catching that. I was taking out some unnecessary spaces and the like and apparently got carried away. It's back to how it was.

Incidentally, do you know why there is a line of [edit]s atop the text in Chapters 7 and 8? Is it my browser? I've never seen this before and it renders the text illegible when I'm logged in.

Thmazing 19:47, 1 November 2007 (UTC)Thmazing

Yes, it's because of the two infoboxes being side by side. I plan to make one of them collapsible, which would fix it. As it is, the [edit] tags for several sections at the top of the article all appear after the bottom of the second infobox.
By the way, there was no need to worry about the spaces; they make no difference to the way the page is displayed. I guess you only bothered with them because of the problem with the [edit] tags, right? - Fayenatic (talk) 13:00, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

I didn't manage to make the OT box collapsible, but moved it down the article instead. Problem solved. I'll check the rest of the OT/Tanakh articles sometime. - Fayenatic (talk) 14:58, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
Ah! Malachi is OK with the infoboxes side by side. It must have been the image move, which I did at the same time, that solved the problem. - Fayenatic (talk) 15:02, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
I thought so! Thanks for taking care of this. This is not the first mistake I've made in the last couple weeks and I'm feeling skittish.Thmazing 20:23, 7 November 2007 (UTC)Thmazing

Speedy deletion of Segullah

A tag has been placed on Segullah requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 16:18, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Re: Deleted Article

Hi

I've searched the deletion logs and can't find any reference to a deleted article for any of the following variants:

Eric W Jepson
Eric W. Jepson
Eric Jepson
E Jepson
E W Jepson
E. Jepson
E. W. Jepson

If you could check your server logs to see the exact name of the article, it may be different. Let me know if you find anything. Otherwise you could try Google Cached entries. Sorry I couldn't turn anything up for you. --Cactus.man 07:37, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. I'll double check my stats and get back to you if it wasn't one of those variations. 76.88.194.195 (talk) 20:08, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Your edit summary for the page creation of Karl Benjamin has to be one of the most amusing I have ever seen.--Finalnight (talk) 02:43, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks---how in the world did you find it so fast?Thmazing (talk) 02:47, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
I am on a new page's patrol to relax from my RfA drama, lol.--Finalnight (talk) 02:48, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Good luck with that -- you seem on-the-ball enough for me. Thmazing (talk) 02:51, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Val Chadwick Bagley, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Val Chadwick Balgey. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 03:43, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

July 2008

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to move Val Chadwick Balgey by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is considered undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 04:08, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Personal attacks

Edits and edit summaries such as these are not helpful.[1] Please review Wikipedia:No personal attacks. If there are problems with a disruptive editor, there are ways to deal with them, but attacking them on a public talkpage is not one of them. --Elonka 05:02, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
