About the Sunna Davíðsdóttir article[edit]

Hey Thor,

I'm the administrator who removed the Proposed Deletion request from Sunna Davíðsdóttir. Welcome to Wikipedia! Things can be a little confusing around here at first. Let me see if I can't help you out some. :)

The Sunna Davíðsdóttir article you created was proposed for deletion by User:Passengerpigeon for a very good reason: at the time, it didn't cite any sources. That's a big deal on Wikipedia, because articles about living persons that don't cite sources open up the encyclopedia to legal trouble, so we take extra pains to avoid that. You've since added two sources to the article: one of them is the fighter's Facebook profile which is most definitely not a reliable source. The other one you added was this fight card from Tapology -- that one I'm iffy about. Please don't be surprised if somebody nominates the article for deletion in the near future; that's a different process altogether from Proposed Deletion. In the meantime, I'd suggest finding better sources for the article, because I think it's highly questionable at the moment. You need to find a magazine or newspaper profile about the fighter and something that shows that she's fought at least 3 bouts for a top-tier MMA organization.

Welcome again to Wikipedia. Please don't take it the wrong way if your article gets deleted and I hope you'll stick around and help us add to the project. Cheers, A Traintalk 17:28, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
