Hey Tide rolls,

I see you have left me a warning template of level 1, here. Though I did not make any such edit, I think my internet provider has a dynamic I.P. address. I however, do have a Wikipedia account, i.e. Debastein and was wondering if there were any templates which denoted dynamic I.P. addresses. Regards, 14.96.164.188 (talk) 07:34, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

I almost forgot; if you did not make the edit, then the message was not meant for you. A technicality, but an important one. Tiderolls 11:06, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Harassment

Dear Tiderolls,

I wish someone were as much on the ball as you as per the constant downgrading of the Eringer page I put much time and effort into, which is regularly targeted and on which I no longer seem to be able to reverse or undo the edits from my harasser. Wiki refereed once in January and when I alerted them again this month, I was told nothing could be done. Hence right now the deletion of the butchery that has become my page. This Peppernox user also targeted another of my pages. I'm sick of it, personally. The error is not with you but in the absence of a mechanism to remove trolls. Your action of reversing my blanking only reinforces the bullying I'm receiving for stupidly contributing to Wikipedia.

Lozange, please do not surrender to your frustration. I will be more than happy to add this article to my watchlist if that will help. I simply need you to understand that the policies and guidelines of this project are put in place to, ultimately, help the reader. A blank page does the reader no service. Hang around and help...we need it. Regards Tiderolls 19:58, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

Mount Epperly edit

Hi Tide Rolls.

I made this edit in the Mount Epperly article, a edit you reverted. As I clearly stated in the Edit Summary, I corrected the elevation per reference (The same reference used in the article). Please, be careful when you revert the editions made by anonymous users, you can scare away people interest in helping Wikipedia. 190.25.108.104 (talk) 18:59, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Help!

Can you help me sort out a mess? Per this discussion, Walter Hill (filmmaker) needs to be moved back to Walter Hill (director). Unfortunately, attempting to make that move, I inadvertently moved the page to Walter Hill (direct), a consequence of listening to loud music and typing faster than I was thinking. Meh. Well, I've never seen that before! Obviously they don't know how the blocking system works and who can block who. --Chip123456 (talk) 18:59, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
Hi Tide Rolls, I have left a note on FishingKings talk page about their 'blocking'. Also, I was shocked that they had been granted rollback rights after only starting on the 7th if May....this year! Kind Regards --Chip123456 (talk) 19:28, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for helping out, Chip. I was surprised as well, but rollback can be removed as easily as it's handed out so there's not much real danger with that permission. FishingKing's contributions have been helpful for the most part; I'm just wanting to see more clue exhibited. That may come with time. Tiderolls 19:36, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
No problem. It all takes time. I have also seen your posting on my talk page, obviously the user didn't acknowledge your comment and just removed it. And as for the RB rights, again its baffling. When I was given them after 4 months, an admin told me I took them thirteen and were shocked, just wait until I tell them that this editor was given them after 6 days! Although, as you said, to be fair to the editor has mostly made constructive contributions! Also, I know I haven't had too many encounters with you, I was wondering if you could comment on My editor review, if it's not too much trouble? Thanks, --Chip123456 (talk) 19:51, 13 May 2012 (UTC)

My Walter Mitty Page Edit

Hey Tide rolls,

Sorry about the confusion, Mike Myers was replaced by Ben Stiller to star in the upcoming Walter Mitty film and that's why I made the change. I probably should have explained the edit but I was in a hurry. My fault. 69.134.110.165 (talk) 01:56, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

Cedar Point: island or peninsula

Conventional wisdom is that Cedar Point is located on a peninsula rather than an island, but if you look closely at satellite images you will see that the two thin strips of land connecting the "peninsula" to the mainland are each broken by a short bridge. If a bridge prevents an island from being an island, I suggest we rename Long Island as Long Peninsula.

Go to Google Maps to see what I mean. I don't mean to be combative, I would actually like a second opinion, haha. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.57.6.128 (talk) 01:50, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

User:188.116.243.214 and User:Joyson Prabhu

Yesterday night/eariler tonight you reverted an edit by User:188.116.243.214 after they blanked a redirect at Ciro Cirillo. They re-blanked and then about 15 minutes later User:Joyson Prabhu requested speedy deletion (via A3) for the page. Normally this wouldn't be a huge issue, but they are the same person (as per the note on the IP's userpage). I didn't see the note and asked Joyson Prabhu why he deleted a note I left on the IP's talk page. Immediately after he replyed to me, Joyson Prabhu retired (or at least posted the templates for it).

This is making me question if we caught a sockpuppet account, if this was the straw to break the camels back, or something else entirely and if this is something that should be looked into further. Any thoughts you may have would be appreciated. Thanks, Michael Greiner 06:03, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

Need some assistance

Can you or another admin way in here? This guy (scroll down to the bottom of the page) will not stop reverting sourced content edits for a band named Behemoth wherein sources cite them as a blackened death metal band, but instead he keeps reverting everyone that reverts his edit to the original version of where it said "blackened death metal" to his revisions over and over for the band's discography. So technically he's not only edit warring with users, but also removing sourced content from the site. He's been on Wikipedia for quite a while, so I can't template him or be suggestive on other things that I would normally do if this was a new user doing this, but keep in mind these actions are not right. • GunMetal Angel 06:22, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi, GunMetal Angel. Strictly speaking, at this I would only be able to involve myself in this situation editorially. No administrative action is required...yet. Going to TheSickBehemoth's user talk is not a bad idea, but you two should begin a discussion on the article talk so the issue will be more visible to other interested editors. One thing, you say you are reverting to sourced content. I don't see the genre directly sourced; it may be and I'm missing it. Neither of you has techically broken 3RR yet, but if the genre reversions continue without some type of consensus being determined there could be problems. I'll post a message on the article talk. Thanks for your message. Tiderolls 07:11, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
Look at his talk page, negotiating with this person is impossible. I have already 1) stated what he's doing in not right 2) just now directly listed sources stating the band is of that genre 3) told him months ago not to do this and yet he still does it 4) he will always revert this sourced content and call it "incorrect information" which is some pretty big bullshit. • GunMetal Angel 07:13, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
That's the importance of consensus. Once there is consensus then changes cannot be made without sources (which would alter consensus). There are other processes in existance for dispute resolution, but talk page discussion must be attempted before the others can be pursued. Tiderolls 07:19, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

Please help clarify an issue

When you deleted Henley High School, South Australia last year, the disambiguation page for Henley High School became more or less a one item page. A new user has attempted to request Henley High School (Klamath Falls, Oregon) be moved to the title without disambiguation and frankly it seems to have merit. Please advise me of your regards to this matter, and if you concur, effect the move on behalf of User:DU2010OR. Thank you for considering this and I look forward to seeing your counsel. My76Strat (talk) 09:06, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Now the dab page is needed. I suck at moves so I chose to create the article instead. I also find article creation a challenge, but it's easier than article moves. Anyway, User:DU2010OR can now move on to more pressing concnerns. Thanks for the heads up Tiderolls 17:22, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Class Avesta should be blocked

I think he should be blocked by one of us on the basis of his edits today at House of Wisdom, both because of the restriction on his editing without a mentor and because he insists that it is the same as the Academy of Gondishapur despite the fact that it clearly isn't, eg our article on Gondishapur, [1] and [2]. I replied to your comment in Colonia del Valle's talk page to draw the editor's attention. Yet once again, he/she made a revert to the article by removing four maintenance tags and seven cited references, and adding a mixture of poorly-written peacock claims and pictures of buildings that are not located within the neighborhood. It's truly getting tiring to put up with this, and I think the editor is using proxies to change his/her IPs based on the pattern of contribution to the page by IPs per my reply.
