You know, I have seen several other actors listed on here who have nothing noteable written about them but they are listed.

That list says "List of people from Kansas" then "Film, television and stage" then "Actors and performers". He qualifies on all counts to be on this list. Mr West is from Kansas, acted in a film, and is an Actor.

I have provided the documenting link and can provide more of the same at other sites.

Mr. West sould be able to be listed.

Relevant guidelines[edit]

Hi Timwest1156

Unfortunately it seems as though you haven't been properly introduced to the guidelines on article inclusion. In general, a topic must be "notable" to have a Wikipedia entry. Notability is demonstrated with respect to guidelines. Some pages you may be interested in reviewing are:

  • WP:N, the basic notability policy
  • WP:GNG, the general notability guideline
  • WP:BIO, the notability guideline for people

Hope that's of some assistance.

Please do not write an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline Writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedians with articles.) Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you.--Orange Mike | Talk 04:44, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it would appear you are not at all interested in facts but rather if some third, fourth, or fifth party has written something, true or not, then it qualifies.

This hardly seems a way to obtain factual data as opposed to a lot of opinion. If this is the case, I will be sure to pass the word about the probable inaccurate information contained in your postings. In addition, if you are not most interested in factual information, I am sure Mr. West would not want to be in your records anyway.

Thanks!

For the most part, if he is indeed notable (and that can easily be proven with multiple newspaper articles about him) he does not get a say in it. And based on your name I suspect you're only here to promote him or you are him. Please read WP:Autobiography and WP:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. And, since you seem to think we seek truth, I would suggest reading WP:Verifiability, one of our core policies. —Jeremy v^_^v Components:V S M 12:44, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
