Speedy deletion nomination of Azoteq[edit]

A tag has been placed on Azoteq, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Please note that assertion of permission to use text is not enough: it is essential to make a formal copyright release.

That is not usually worth doing because, even if the copyright issue were resolved, the promotional tone of a company or personal website is likely to be quite unsuitable for an encyclopedia article, which requires a neutral point of view. Wikipedia should not be approached as a noticeboard onto which to pin material written for other purposes.

Article subjects need to have notability, which is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." There is more detail at WP:Notability (organizations and companies) and the WP:FAQ/Organizations, and good advice on how to write an acceptable article at WP:Your first article.
