Acetic Acid - Choice

Well, it dates back to when I was a user on Neopets. There are millions of accounts. I hated using numbers in my name. Acetic_acid was one of the few actual names I could think of that wasn't already taken. Aw, thank you. I just found a bunch of cricketers with only partially filled biographies and thought that at least the basic information could be filled in. I'll go back to them later and see what information can be written about the rest of them, particularly those for whom information is particularly sparse (I have previously worked on soccer players in this regard too).

I'm going to complete the job sometime soon, at least for the stub articles. If there is any information we can add to the articles other than that, we can continue doing so after the information has been added. Bobo192|Edits 04:58, 31 August 2005 (UTC)

Tool

Alas, Kate's tool is the only tool I know of for counting edits. [Trivia: she's a developer and she was responsible for correcting the links which pointed to cricket (sport), correcting them to point to cricket, after we moved the article there last year.] Keep in mind that such tools are database intensive and I don't suppose we'll have more specific tools in a hurry. I'm sorry, but I don't have that lucky friends. :/ UNICEF has a srilanka_22704.html photo, but it is copyrighted. Perhaps you could explain them the cicumstances. If that's not possible you can get some fair use images under the following criteria:

• If you can find a TV screenshot on the web use: {{screenshot}}
• If he is featured on the cover of Sportstar or a similar magazine use {{Magazinecover}}.

• Some fair use topics are well given in wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use.

I got all my info from the cricinfo player profile, and it definately says: Crowds relaxed and related to his instinctive and aggressive Test batting that three times brought up centuries in a session... but it only says when two of them were. A C Bannerman

Perhaps you're right about either "Alick" or "Alec". I was brought up to believe the former, and Jack Pollard uses that. However Johnny Moyes and Christopher Martin-Jenkins both use "Alec", as does CricInfo. Perhaps we need to go back to contemporary sources - newspapers, George Giffen, etc, to see what they called him. I'm happy if you want to change his page back. Blofeld

I didn't write that actually. Ernst Stavro Blofeld used to be merged with SPECTRE. I merely seperated the two. I'm honestly not sure where the name Blofeld comes from for certain. I've heard the whole Henry Blofeld thing before, but I've never seen a source. Best bet for a definitive answer would be The Life of Ian Fleming by John Pearson. He did character backgrounds in the book and knew where most of the characters came from considering his close friendship with Fleming. IL Bula

I thought someone had written an article about a Norwegian sports team (IL = "Idrettslag", which is Norwegian for "Sports team") or something! I'll see what I can do - not a lot of net presence, though, so I fear the article will consist of "He is a member of the Fijian Sport Hall of Fame [1] and toured New Zealand twice in 1947-48 and 1953-54".
