January 2012[edit]

Your recent editing history at List of countries where English is an official language shows that you are in danger of breaking the three-revert rule, or that you may have already broken it. An editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Breaking the three-revert rule often leads to a block.

If you wish to avoid being blocked, instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. You may still be blocked for edit warring even if you do not exceed the technical limit of the three-revert rule if your behavior indicates that you intend to continue to revert repeatedly. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 22:42, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Again, your edits on Brunei constitutes edit warring. Please refrain from participating or starting an edit war and resort to talk page discussions before making the edit again.--Hallows AG 08:36, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Possible sock puppetry[edit]

Are you User:Wallydough567? The user's contributions gives me the impression that you are his sock master. Note that using multiple accounts are not allowed in Wikipedia. See WP:SOCKPUPPETRY.--Hallows AG 10:29, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have that impression too, and have blocked the account. Drmies (talk) 19:52, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your request for page protection was declined[edit]

I have declined your request to protect List of countries where English is an official language. It appears that you are in a content dispute with other editors. Please discuss the matter at Talk:List of countries where English is an official language, so that a consensus can be established. —C.Fred (talk) 19:48, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Drmies (talk) 19:53, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Information[edit]

Hi, Toby323. To keep from having to repeatedly undo your own edits that may not work as you intended, you may click on the "Show preview" button that is immediately to the right of the "save page" button. This option allows you to examine your edit before it actually makes the change. Tiderolls 16:31, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Brunei[edit]

I will help, but I don't know what do you want to achieve. See {{Infobox country}}. There are several language options, and the article already lists some (official, national, regional). Please decide the type. Materialscientist (talk) 22:46, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[1] - please answer on talk pages rather than in edit summaries. It is not easy to do what you want (likely requires tweaking the template {{Infobox country}}, which is risky - the template is used in major articles). Please avoid "other languages" and put them into the existing categories. "Other" is dubious - other national, other official, etc.? Materialscientist (talk) 00:39, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Toby323. I've moved your post to the bottom of Talk:Brunei where new posts are meant to be placed. Tiderolls 00:15, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

June 2013[edit]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on other people again, as you did at Bangladesh, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Faizan 09:10, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Bangladesh. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Faizan 09:11, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Warning[edit]

you are constantly breaking the three-revert rule on this article, Bangladesh. An editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Breaking the three-revert rule often leads to a block.

Don't do this again otherwise, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.Samudrakula (talk) 10:28, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bangladesh[edit]

Here's the thing, officially Bengali is the sole state language. For the government, English is a secondary working language. But English is more prevalent among the urban middle classes, which is why the "other" category is more appropriate, than "also used for official purposes", since English is not just used by officials, but it's also a widespread medium of education and culture.--ArmanJ (talk) 11:27, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

it's completely necessary to add English on Bangladesh page´s InfoBox. Only Bengali has constitutional status as de facto and also de jure official Language of Bangladesh. It doesn't matter who use what on their daily purpose! it's enough mentioned here! Bangladesh#Languages

User :Toby323 must be blocked to write on Bangladesh page! Samudrakula (talk) 11:52, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

the infobox characterization is fully appropriate. Bangla is the only constitutional language, english is a secondary language.--ArmanJ (talk) 13:24, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh really! Then what about others de facto languages of indigenous communities of Bangladesh. You can include them also as secondary language!! Samudrakula (talk) 13:51, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
good point, i added chakma before, but someone removed it. adding it again.--ArmanJ (talk) 15:08, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule at Bangladesh. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of one week for resumption of edit warring immediately after expiration of last block, as you did at Bangladesh. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are valid reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Bbb23 (talk) 23:40, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Malaysia may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
