Disambiguation link notification for March 2[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Pitaya Tibnoke, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Surin. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Orphaned non-free image File:The Mask Singer Thailand 2.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:The Mask Singer Thailand 2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 20:58, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:The Sims Mobile logo.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:The Sims Mobile logo.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Volleyball articles[edit]

Recently you have changed back some of my edits. You just deleted text in the career section to include the reference in a table or the infobox. I have edited almost every Thai volleyball article by now. You have just one references in must of them, but have included a lot of information about club participation and awards without references. All that information should and must be deleted if not referenced. WP:VERIFY says: Even if you're sure something is true, it must be verifiable before you can add it. WP:BLPSOURCE says: contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced should be removed immediately and without discussion. Check the Lindsay Stalzer article. Every club joined and every individual or club award are referenced. When you do so in the career section you do not have to include a reference in the table or the infobox. Not is not the way you want to. Also, you cannot edit the article the way you want. Wikipedia:WikiProject Volleyball goals are: Standardize the appearance and layout of volleyball related articles. and Improve and generally guide the development of volleyball related articles. Please join us, not fight us. And please be kind and reply your own talk page. I have left a note before and you do not replied. --Osplace 15:26, 10 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I understand what you are communicating. So sorry in error and thanks for helping to update the Thai volleyball articles. --Tomarzig 0:12, 11 October 2017 (UTC+7)

Non-free rationale for File:Thong Dee Fun Khao.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Thong Dee Fun Khao.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Hello, you have been updating volleyball articles with information about Montreux Volley Masters. In this edit, you included 2016 information like a new category. You must read that the Montreux Volley Masters "it is the tournament that opens the international season for national teams". Since it is a national team competition, Montreux results must be added to that category in every player. Speedy deletion nomination of Xiaomi Smart Home[edit]

Hello Tomarzig,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Xiaomi Smart Home for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:The Mask Line Thai.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:The Mask Line Thai.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

We believe you, after all you've edited since 2014 without incident AFAIK. And since your account isn't blocked, you can edit from other IPs (indeed, you must have been able to, as the IP you give was blocked in early March so you must have been using some other IP for over two months. Maybe your ISP did something).

That makes this a procedural decline as I can't remove a block that doesn't exist. Now, yes, as noted the IP is blocked. But it's a lot easier to go to WP:IPECPROXY and follow the instructions there to request IP block exemption than try to get a proxy block lifted. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:17, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

That IP has been blocked since March, but you've been able to edit quite a bit since then. So it does not appear as if it's affecting you too much. — Daniel Case (talk) 07:14, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:42, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 1[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Chookiat Sakveerakul, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mondo. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 05:57, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Drafts[edit]

Submitting it through the WP:AFC process is all the "advice" I've got, because there really isn't any other way around getting an AFC reviewer to approve it. Bearcat (talk) 16:56, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Tomarzig! Your additions to House of Ninjas have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source. You must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. Read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Our policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 02:32, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Kingdom Rush Alliance logo.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Kingdom Rush Alliance logo.png.

Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:34, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
