We are happy to have you here at Wikipedia, the world’s largest encyclopedia, and sincerely hope you will stay and help us make this great project even greater.

I noticed you made a page about yourself, which I moved to your user page. Generally there is a standard of notability on Wikipedia which discourages users from writing articles about themselves. You are welcome, however, to put whatever you want about yourself on your userpage.

If you have any questions or problems, no matter what they are, leave me a message on my talk page. Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Lastly, you can sign your name on talk pages and votes by typing ~~~~; our software automatically converts it to your username and the date.

Please read WP:SPAM. Do not advertise Prospect33 here. -- RHaworth 18:35, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • "How do you recommend that I rewrite it"? You do not rewrite it. You wait and when the company becomes notable, somebody with no COI will write it up. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 06:58, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Prospect 33[edit]

A tag has been placed on Prospect 33 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. When I deleted the article it was not written in an encyclopedic tone, but more along the lines of something you would find on the company's web page. In other words, it wasn't written with a neutral point of view, which is an official Wikipedia policy. For example: "Prospect 33, is better known as a global service provider to the international investment banking community and prides itself on offering a discreet, exclusive service portfolio" is very ad-like.

The page WP:Your first article will give you an idea of what kinds of things Wikipedia's looking for. ... discospinster talk 15:32, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
