Not notable Unitarian Minister

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

User page

Hello, Tom,

I saw your message about recovering your User page and I think it is possible either via a steward on Meta or you could post a request on WP:AN and I'm sure there is an administrator familiar with how to restore a page with over 1,000 edits. It's not a lost cause but I have no experience doing it myself. Good luck! Liz Read! Talk! 03:08, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

  • I've commented at User talk:Materialscientist, and I believe it is done by restoring a limited number of revisions at a time. But if the history isn't needed (I doubt there'd be a problem with attribution on a user page), maybe just restore the most recent revision? Boing! on Tour (talk) 13:07, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Thanks, I've decided to quit Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. Writing is just a hobby for me and there are many many other places for me to write.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 20:40, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
Tom, are you absolutely sure that you want your User page deleted? Because if you have any doubt, you can always tag it in the future. It was a challenge to restore so I don't want to delete it again unless you are 100% certain this time. Liz Read! Talk! 00:22, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
Hey I'm genuinely sorry about all the fuss. But I made a mistake here in Wikipedia and it's given a green light for others to hound me out of here. I didn't know this when I made the request but trust me, at this point, my decision to leave is final and I won't change my mind.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 00:40, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
Well, I'm truly sorry that you feel like leaving. We all make mistakes, and the more "privileges" and rights an editor has, the bigger the mistakes are! I hope, should the urge strike you, you will fix a typo here and there, do some copyediting on a needy article, just do the fun stuff that you did when you were starting out as an editor. All the best. Liz Read! Talk! 00:48, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

banned

I don't suppose it will come as any great surprise that after evaluating the discussion at ANI I find there is a consensus that you are community banned indefinitely. [1] Beeblebrox (talk) 20:51, 13 March 2022 (UTC)

Sorry to see it end this way

Tom, you and I certainly had editorial disagreements. Still, I'm sorry to see things end (perhaps only pause) this way. I hope you do well in your time off from Wikipedia. Springee (talk) 19:41, 14 March 2022 (UTC)

Tom, you helped me get acquainted with parts of Wikipedia I had no idea about, when I was a rookie, just starting editing here more than 15 years ago. I have kept your page on my watchlist since. I haven't followed very closely these latest problems, but I wanted to let you know I'm still watching. As the previous user implied, and as my experience also tells me, everybody needs some time off to recharge the batteries. I hope this is true for you too. All the best, warshy (¥¥) 19:56, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
It's always sad for me to see experienced editors leave in such contexts. Your support comment tells me you have room to grow and the potential to, but I understand you might feel like your time on this site is complete. In any case, I hope you enjoy the new-found free time with your loved ones and try to find ways to contribute positively to the world through other means. A. C. Notice

The article Start Making Sense has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The show is hosted by Jon Wiener and produced by The Nation in partnership with LA Review of Books. Nearly every source currently cited is either written by Jon Wiener or published in The Nation and the LARB. The podcast does not pass WP:GNG and I can't find better sources to demonstrate otherwise.
