Moving articles[edit]

As nobody has given you a Welcome paragraph, here is one - it has some useful links. Next time you need to move an article from your user space into the main space, you can do it with the "Move" tab at the top (if you can't see it, it's probably in a drop-down menu under a small triangle just to the right of a star symbol, which is what you use to put a page on your watch-list. "Move" has the advantage of taking the contribution history with it - not that that matters when you are the only author, but it's a good thing to get into the habit of using "move" rather than cut-and-paste because once an article has several contributors it becomes important to maintain the history, because the license terms require attribution. After you do a move out of your user space, the old title is left as a redirect, which you should get rid of by putting {{db-author}} on it. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 17:50, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
