Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Hello Totsmeimme! Your additions to Igbo people have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Hello, this is Totsmeimme, and i was currently blocked, if i believe was for a page i tried to create, which was 1966 Anti-Igbo Pogrom Retaliation, every content, and link of this page i wanted to create was found on the original page of 1966 Anti-Igbo Pogrom. I wanted to create a separate page for the retaliation that happened, matter fact the retaliation, is literally written ,in the original 1966 Anti-Igbo Pogrom. Yet i had multiple problems, while trying to create the page. But i was also editing, and making a lot of wikipedia pages, because i am super interested in Nigerian, and African history, and i feel like it is under-represented on wikipedia. So i often overlooked, some content on the 1966 Anti-Igbo Pogrom Retaliation, page that might've been copyrighted. I apologize, and completely understand it was my fault, can you please give me another chance. This is not a sock poppet, or a troll, account, i'm a very sincere person, please! And thank you!
